Shortly after they launched in the UK, Glossier released their first-ever fragrance and it seemed like everyone and their mum was talking about it. After reading a ton of mixed reviews I finally gave in and decided to purchase it as I needed a new one and it sounded like something I would really enjoy. I've only had it for about a month and it's already been deemed my favourite perfume of all-time! Yep, it's that good!
The packaging has been very hit or miss (mainly because of the bright red lid) but to be honest I actually quite like the overall design and I think it matches what's inside perfectly. It's £45 for 50ml which isn't bad in my opinion. I actually used a discount and managed to save a bit of money which was nice.

It's a soft almost creamy scent and it's quite different to anything I've ever owned. The base notes include ambrette, ambrox and musk and they mix with your natural scent to create a beautiful warm, long-lasting finish. I normally do 3-4 spritzes and I find that's enough to last me all day. It also lingers really well on clothes which I really like as I love the cosy vibe it gives. This is one of those fragrances that your partner will smell and say 'ooh, you smell nice', rather than 'I like your perfume'. I've noticed quite a few people say it would make a great unisex scent but I would disagree as I think the floral notes keep it really feminine.

I'm absolutely obsessed with this perfume and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves Glossier or is looking for a new everyday fragrance that's super light and really easy to wear.

Have you tried the new Glossier fragrance? What are your thoughts?

And just like that, it's December! I still can't believe it! Today I wanted you to show you all of the products I was loving throughout November including my new favourite hair treatment and the nail polish that actually makes me look forward to painting my nails!
All That Jazz Nail Polish | Pixie Whispers* | £9.98
I've been wearing this nail polish on and off for the past few weeks and I'm still not bored of it! It's a gorgeous pinky-taupe that looks so chic and understated and I love that it compliments my skin tone. The formula is quite thin so you need at least two coats to get full coverage but it applies really well and dries super fast!

Glossier Priming Moisturiser | £18
I really wasn't expecting to love Glossier as much as I do but it's just such a good brand if you're into the whole no-makeup makeup thing like I am. I have quite a few of their products but the Priming Moisturiser has been my go-to recently. It does such a good job of hydrating the skin without leaving it tacky or greasy. I got mine in the Phase 1 Set and it worked out being quite a bit cheaper. Don't forget, you can use my link and get 10% off your first purchase - http://bff.glossier.com/hgSpa

Grow Gorgeous Full Bodied Volumising Leave-In Conditioner* | £16
Grow Gorgeous has been on my list to try for absolutely ages so you can imagine how excited I was when their new Full Bodied collection arrived in the post! I don't normally bother with volumising products as my hair is so fine and straight but this adds a lovely wave and extra body to my hair without weighing it down. It's not greasy in any way and my hair feels super soft and hydrated. It's a must-have in my routine!

Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick | Velvet Beige | £6.99
Apart from the Glossier Generation G in Cake, this is the only lip colour I've been wearing for the past two months. It's a gorgeous pinky-brown and it just seems to go with everything!

Seventeen Stay Time Concealer | Extra Fair | £4.49
I've been loving this concealer recently as it does a great job of covering dark circles and blemishes without being heavy or cakey on the skin. I use it with a damp Miracle Complexion Sponge and it blends flawlessly every time.

Happy Place Cosmetics Salted Caramel Body Butter | £14
I'm obsessed with the scent of this body butter and it's one of the only products I've found that actually moisturises and conditions my really dry skin.

Superdrug Simply Pure Leave On Water Mask | £3.99
This is fairly new to the Simply Pure range and I'm really glad I decided to pick it up as it's been a life saver for my dehydrated skin. In the evenings I apply a thick layer as the last step of my skincare routine and it helps keep my skin really hydrated and plump. It's such a fab product and it's definitely worth trying if you have dry/dehydrated skin!

DHC Lip Cream* | £8.75
This has kept my lips super soft and smooth and I love that I only have to apply a tiny amount. I'm definitely going to be buying a back-up!

The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution | £6.30
This was my go-to exfoliator/mask last month and it really helped get my skin looking healthy and glowing again. I only tend to use it once a week but I find that's all you need because it's so concentrated. If you're a fan of chemical exfoliants you should definitely check this out!

Before we get into today's post I just wanted to say a big thank you for being patient and sticking around whilst I took a break from blogging. I really felt like I needed to take some time away from my blog and social media and just relax. It was so amazing but I'm back now and I'm ready to get back into the swing of things. Today I wanted to carry on with my gift guide series and I'm going to be showing you a round-up of all my favourite home, fashion and lifestyle gift ideas for her.
Starting with one of my favourites, Tanya Bakes is a great gift for anyone who loves to bake and it's full of lots of amazing recipes that will keep you going all year long. She's also just released her second cookbook - Tanya's Christmas which looks amazing! I'm definitely going to be picking it up!

Jewellery is such a lovely gift to receive at Christmas and watches, in particular, seem to be a winner with everyone. I have the Elie Beaumont Oxford Large Watch* which is so pretty and chic, any girl would love it! They have a few other styles and they come in a bunch of different colours so there's something to suit everyone. They're not super expensive either!

Feather & Down is a brand I recently discovered in Boots and they have a gorgeous range of bath, body and home fragrance products that are designed to help you get a better night's sleep. If there's someone in your life who's quite stressed or you know they have trouble drifting off, I would highly recommend gifting them the Pillow Spray and Sleep Balm. They're packed full of beautiful essential oils and they help create the most amazing atmosphere.

Scrumpies of Mayfair underwear are miniature works of art and they're designed to help you look and feel amazing. I have the Pink Lady* set and I can't get over how pretty they are! They also come with a super cute charm which is covered in beautiful Czech crystals. I wanted to include these as I think it's really important to treat yourself to something luxurious now and again.

Candles are incredibly popular around this time of year and for good reason. They create such a warm, cosy environment and it's always nice to have one burning in the background. The White Company have just brought out their Winter range and I picked up the Signature Candle which smells ah-mazing! It's a mix of cinnamon, clove and orange and as soon as you light it your whole house smells like Christmas! This would be a great gift for anyone who loves candles or is really into home decor.

So many people are getting more and more into stationery (me included) and I think this Rose Gold Pen Trio* from Ice London would make an amazing gift for any girl. They come in a gorgeous box and each pen is embellished with little Swarovski crystals. How cute!

Food isn't something I usually talk about on my blog but when something as good as this lands on your doorstep, it would be a crime not to mention it. For those who don't know, I have a massive sweet tooth and even when I was a kid I would spend any spare money I had on a bag of pick 'n' mix consisting of cherry lips, chocolate peanuts and fizzy cola bottles. A strange mix, I know. Nowadays I try not to eat a lot of sugary food but every now and then I just crave something sweet. Gookie Dough is a delicious edible treat created by Anja and Olly from Nottingham and was inspired by their shared love for Willy Wonka and baking. I've only had my samples for about a week and I'm already obsessed!
Gooey Chocolate Chip* | £7.50 for 2
Out of all of the flavours in the range, this is the one I was most excited to try. It has a rich vanilla base with dark chocolate chunks instead of milk chocolate which I think is genius as it gives it a lovely edge and stops it being overly sweet. The texture of all the cookie dough is so soft and gooey, it literally melts in your mouth. They're all egg-free making them completely safe to eat raw and this flavour, in particular, is currently their only vegan option.

Funfetti Cake Batter* | £7.50 for 2
Inspired by the extremely popular American childhood birthday cake flavour, this combines a rich vanilla base with gorgeous chunks of white chocolate and is topped off with lots of little rainbow sugar sprinkles. My inner child practically screamed when I opened this one! I'm not usually a big fan of white chocolate as it can be a bit too sweet but this is just right and it's definitely one to try if you enjoy eating raw cake batter like I do!

Red Velvet* | £7.50 for 2
I haven't had much experience with red velvet desserts but boy does this taste good! With a red cocoa base and swirls of rich vanilla frosting, this is probably the most decadent one in the range! It's not something I can eat too much of as it is very sweet but I love how they've managed to make this flavour work!

Triple Chocolate Fudge* | £7.50 for 2
I'm a sucker for anything triple chocolate and this really hits the spot when I need a quick sugar fix. Using dark cocoa cookie dough, milk chocolate fudge and white chocolate chunks, this a chocoholic's dream! I store all of my pots in the fridge and bring them to room temperature when I want to devour eat them.

To all my fellow cookie dough lovers out there, do yourself a favour and give these a go!

I don't normally have to worry about my skin as most of the time it's quite well behaved but recently I just don't know what to do with it. One day it's breaking out and the next it's super dry and sensitive. Admittedly I haven't been drinking enough water and that paired with my time of the month is just asking for trouble. I've been trying my best to get my skin back to normal and I thought I would show you some of my current top picks.
My skin's quite sensitive at the moment so I've been using the Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser because it's gentle, quick to use and leaves my skin feeling clean but not stripped. I also really like the subtle rose scent. For makeup removal, I've been loving the Simple Micellar Water because it's just so quick and easy.

To keep the irritation down I've been skipping acids and going straight in with my hydrating toners and mists. Congestion and blemishes have been a big problem for me over the past few weeks but the Hylamide Pore Flush* has really helped keep them to a minimum. I spritz it onto a cotton pad and sweep it over my skin after cleansing. It's great for keeping shine down too!

Whenever I'm having issues with my skin I like to keep my routine really simple and use treatments 2-3 times a week. The Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask has been my go-to for exfoliating and getting rid of dead skin and I've also started using The Ordinary Advanced Retinoid 2% again as I feel like my skin always looks better when I use it.

As I mentioned before, I've been seriously lacking in the hydration department and my skin is definitely paying for it. I've only been using the Indeed Laboratories Hydration Booster* for a couple of weeks but I've already noticed a difference. It has a gorgeous milky texture that absorbs really well and my skin feels a lot smoother and more hydrated afterwards. To moisturise I've been using the Glossier Priming Moisturiser in the day which is really light but super hydrating and The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rosehip Seed Oil at night to nourish and protect.

DHC has quickly become one of my favourite beauty brands and one of the main reasons I love them is because they seem to have a product for just about everything! Last month I was lucky enough to be invited along to the launch of two of their new skincare products and today I thought I would share them with you.
Astaxanthin Collagen All-In-One Gel* | £34
I don't have any collagen products in my collection so I'm really looking forward to trying this. It's formulated with Astaxanthin, a powerful antioxidant derived from Green Algae which is considered to be 6000 times more effective at protecting against free radicals than Vitamin C. I've tried it on the back of my hand and it has a lovely gel texture that absorbs quickly and leaves the skin feeling soft and hydrated.

Beauty Lift Eye Care Essence Roll-On* | £20
When I was younger eye roll-ons were all the rage but they're not something I've ever actually tried. This one uses Oat Kernel Extract which is known for it's anti-inflammatory and soothing properties and it also has ceramides and pentapeptides to help lift and hydrate the eye area. The massaging beads are brilliant for cooling and reducing puffiness and it's a lifesaver in the mornings when my eyes feel tired and sore.

Lip Cream* | £8.75
This isn't a particularly new product but I thought I would mention it anyway. Lip Cream is a conditioning lip balm formulated with Vitamin E to nourish and Aloe and Olive Oil to soothe and neutralise free radicals. It has a thick waxy texture so it lasts a long time and there's no scent or tint which means anyone can use it.

I can't believe Christmas is only 36 days away! Madness! I've been planning my gift guides for quite a while and I'm so excited to finally be able to share all of these amazing goodies with you! I've included a mix of everything from skincare sets to bath bombs and whether you're buying for your mom, bestie or even yourself, hopefully, there's something here to suit everyone!
Skincare is one of my favourite things to receive for Christmas and the Glossier Phase 1 Set is a great choice for any beauty lover. It contains the Milky Jelly Cleanser, Priming Moisturiser and a Balm Dot Com of your choice. You save £8 by buying the set and they also come in a cute pink pouch which doubles as a travel bag. Pixi has some amazing sets this year but I personally think you can't go wrong with their Double Cleanse. Half balm, half cream, it removes all traces of makeup and leaves the skin incredibly soft and nourished. It's a must-have for all makeup wearers!

Coffee scrubs have been insanely popular this year and I think the Grounded Sweet Orange Face Scrub* would make a great stocking filler. It helps exfoliate, add radiance and the gorgeous orange scent just feels so appropriate for this time of year. I also think the Olay Total Effects Moisturiser SPF 15* is something any skincare obsessive would enjoy! It's one of my mom's favourites!

Charlotte Tilbury is always a good place to start when looking for makeup gifts and her Instant Look In A Palette is definitely one of my favourite picks. It has everything from eyeshadows to bronzer and the super-luxe packaging is enough to make any girl happy! Another great choice for makeup lovers is highlighter. The Makeup Revolution Liquid Highlighter in Starlight is super affordable and would make a great little side gift!

I find makeup brushes just as exciting as the actual makeup and this year I've found two that would make lovely gifts. The first is the Pixi Strobe & Sculpt Brush* which is perfect for anyone who loves to chisel their cheekbones. The other is this adorable Real Techniques Mini Contour Brush. It's great for any girl on the go and you can even hang it on your Christmas tree like an ornament. How cute!

My last makeup gift is this gorgeous KIKO Arctic Holiday Lip Kit in Marsala. You get a creamy lipstick and matching lip liner both in a beautiful deep berry shade. The packaging in this range is so stunning, I want one for myself!

Everyone likes to treat themselves at Christmas and body/fragrance gifts are a great way to help someone relax and indulge. Sanctuary Spa is one of my favourite body care brands and their Body Lotion, in particular, is always a lovely thing to receive. I find their signature scent so comforting around this time of year.

Soap & Glory always do amazing gift sets for Christmas and this year I decided to get their Pink Me Up Set which has a mini Clean On Me Shower Gel and Original Pink Body Spray. Fragrance can be tricky as everyone has their own personal taste but I think the new Glossier You perfume will be a hit with pretty much anybody! It's quite girly and sweet but it's not overpowering in the slightest!

Are any of these products on your Christmas list?

Over the past four or five months, my taste in makeup has changed quite a lot and I've started to adopt a really easy, minimal look that only takes me around 15 minutes to do. I've recently added a few new products to my routine and today I thought I would share them with you.
Before I apply my foundation I like to use a small amount of the DHC Velvet Skin Coat on the areas where I have large pores and congestion as it helps smooth everything out and give a nice even base. Then I go in with the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream which has a good amount of coverage and a beautiful natural finish. For my dark circles and redness, I've recently started using the Glossier Stretch Concealer and so far I'm really liking it. It has a creamy consistency but doesn't move or look cakey which I love. Cream blushers are such a good way to add colour to the face and the Glossier Cloud Paint in Dusk is my new go-to. To finish off my base I have to add a touch of highlighter and the Glossier Haloscope in Quartz is literally dewy, healthy skin in a tube. I just apply it with my fingertips and it gives me the J-Lo glow in seconds!

I'm not really a big eyeshadow fan but I do like to add a wash of colour just so that my eyes don't look bare compared to the rest of my face. MAC Soba is such a pretty muted brown and I think it looks so understated and chic swept all over the lid. Then I apply a few coats of the Estee Lauder Sumptuous Knockout Defining Lift and Fan Mascara to help perk up my almost non-existent lashes. I'm really happy with my brows at the moment so I've been skipping my pencils and pomades and been opting for the Eyeko Brow Gel instead.

My usual lip products have been feeling a little overkill lately but I find that the Glossier Generation G in Cake is the perfect balance between a tinted balm and a full-on lipstick. It has a matte finish but isn't drying and the slight peachy tint is so natural and easy to wear, I can apply it without a mirror! I really need to pick up some of the other shades!

As much as I love going out on the weekends cosy nights in are my thing and when it comes to taking time out for a pamper sesh, I like to think I've created the ultimate routine. Autumn is such a good time to indulge and treat yourself and today I thought I would share some of my favourite things to do when I want to look and feel brand new.
I like to start every pamper session with a nice relaxing shower. It's not the most exciting step but it is important. If you have a bathtub then this is the time to get all those bath salts and muscle soaks out and really go to town. Once I'm out the shower I get straight into my warm PJs and then I pick my scent for the night. Fragrance is really important to me and it makes such a difference to my mood. I've recently been wearing two of the new Addictive Arts Perfumes* by Clive Christian and I'm obsessed with them. They scream luxury and because the scents are so concentrated, you only need one or two spritzes to feel super glam and sophisticated.

Then I move onto skincare and this is when I like to address all of the skin issues I'm currently having. At the moment I'm struggling with large pores and dullness so I've been using my trusty Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask at least once a week. It gets rid of all the dry skin and texture that shows through foundation and leaves my skin feeling smooth and looking radiant. My hands have been really dry recently but the Hand Chemistry Pro Repair Skincare For Hands has been working wonders. I also use my Twin Ball Facial Massager from The Body Shop to help drain lymph and get rid of any puffiness.

One of my favourite things about a Sunday pamper is being able to spend the whole evening doing something I love which is usually bingeing on Netflix or reading a book. I'm currently re-reading Sali Hughes Pretty Honest and I forgot how much I enjoyed it. I also like to make myself the ultimate hot chocolate complete with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and marshmallows. After that, I'm ready for bed and no pamper session would be complete without a super cute eye mask. I got mine free with a L'Oreal purchase and I always feel extra chic and cosy when I use it.

What's your favourite way to pamper yourself?

It's the beginning of November which means it's time for me to talk about all of the products I was loving last month. Normally I only feature beauty but today I thought I'd throw some other things into the mix including my new favourite book and the slogan tee I can't stop wearing!
Micellar water has made a come back in my skincare routine and the Simple one is still my absolute favourite. It removes every trace of makeup and never leaves my skin feeling dry or irritated which a lot of other ones do. I have the 400ml size which is currently on offer in Superdrug for just £3! Bargain!

I was so excited when this came in the post as I'm a massive fan of anything formulated with Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide. I've been using it as my serum every other day and I'm so impressed with the difference it's made to my skin. It feels so much more hydrated and plump and the texture has improved too! Review coming soon!

New Look Stripe Heartbreaker Slogan T-Shirt | £9.99
I'm obsessed with slogan t-shirts and I've been loving this one in particular because it's just so easy to wear.
This was one of the main products I wanted to try from Glossier and since I got it I haven't been able to stop using it. It's my new handbag essential!
Anna mentioned this book on her blog a little while ago and I knew it was something I had to pick up. It's full of lots of helpful tips and advice on how to stay inspired and motivated and how to build a successful, self-made career. It really helped give me the kick up the bum I needed!
I wore this foundation so much throughout October, I don't think I used anything else! The coverage is quite full on but it still has a natural, glowy finish to it which I love. I like to apply it with a damp sponge and it gives me a flawless base every time.

I've had my eye on Glossier ever since I first heard Anna raving about them back at the beginning of the year. Their minimal packaging and no makeup - makeup vibe instantly drew me in. As most of you will probably know Glossier has finally launched in the UK and what's even more exciting is that because the products are coming from a UK-based warehouse, you don't have to pay any taxes or customs charges! How awesome is that? Over the past few weeks I've made three fairly big orders and now that I have them all with me, I thought it was about time I show you what I got.
For my first order, I felt it was only right I start with the Phase 1 and Phase 2 sets which are kind of like their starter packs. Each set contains 3 best-selling products and it works out quite a bit cheaper than if you were to buy them individually. You also get to pick the shades you want which is amazing!

Phase 1 is the skincare set and in it, you get the Milky Jelly Cleanser, Priming Moisturiser and a Balm Dot Com of your choice. I really like this set and I think it's a great way to try some of their products if you're not really sure where to start. I've been trying the cleanser on and off since I got it and so far I'm really enjoying it. It's a great everyday cleanser that leaves the skin feeling clean but not stripped. I haven't tried the moisturiser yet but I've heard so many people say it's a fab base for makeup. I was so eager to try the Balm Dot Com in Birthday Cake and it certainly didn't disappoint. It's a multi-use balm that helps to soften and nourish dry areas but I use it on my lips and I love it!

The Phase 2 set contains three of their best selling makeup items and although I'm usually more excited about skincare, I was so happy to finally get my hands on these products. You all know I love a good brow gel and Boy Brow is one of the most popular ones around. I got the shade brown and I can't wait to start using it. Then there's the Stretch Concealer which is designed to give you coverage without the cakey finish. I went for the shade Light which looks like a really good match. The last product in the set is the Generation G in Cake which is their take on the modern day lip. It's sheerer than a normal lipstick and is supposed to give you that just blotted, your lips but better look.

A few days after they launched I placed my second order and I ended up getting a bunch more makeup. Haloscope is their cream highlighter and it's probably the prettiest one I've ever owned. I went for Quarts which is a really nice pearlescent shade. It looks so glowy and radiant on the skin and it's perfect if you love the dewy look. Everyone was going mad for the Cloud Paints so I decided to get Dusk and Puff which are both really pretty and wearable. I also picked up another Boy Brow in Clear and a Balm Dot Com in Coconut. You can never have too many backups!

The last thing I ordered was their brand new fragrance, You. I received a couple of samples with my first two orders and I instantly fell in love with it. Part of me was expecting it to be really strong and musky but actually, it's quite subtle. I won't go on about it too much as I'm planning on doing a separate post about it because I love it that much!

When Hubby and I were younger we used to love going on date nights but nowadays we only tend to do them once or twice a month. Who needs to go out when you stay home with Dominos and Netflix? Date nights are when I like to really make an effort with my makeup and I love having the extra time to actually sit down and apply itI have a signature look that I always do for a night out and today I thought I would share it with you!
I love using my Primark Primer Water for a date night because it's really hydrating and it helps my makeup last all day. I like my base to look flawless but natural and the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation is perfect for this. For blemishes and dark circles I've been loving the Seventeen Stay Time Concealer because it covers everything without being cakey or heavy on the skin. Then I set my face with powder and move onto the cheeks. The Clinique Cheek Pop in Ginger Pop is usually my blusher of choice as it gives me a gorgeous natural flush without being over the top. Of course, my look wouldn't be complete without a shed load of highlighter and I've recently re-discovered my Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder which I'm obsessed with!

The Zoeva Cocoa Blend Eyeshadow Palette is perfect for creating a warm-toned smokey eye and it's what I use 99% of the time. I'll mix Substitute For Love and Freshly Toasted in the crease and on my lower lashline to add some warmth and definition and then I apply Subtle Blend to the lid for a nice pop. I also like to put some L'Oreal Infallible Gel Crayon in Black on my waterline for some extra drama. Then it's just a few coats of mascara, a bit of brow pomade and I'm done!

I prefer using matte lipstick on a date night as it means I don't have to keep touching up every 5 minutes. First I use my MAC Lip Pencil in Boldly Bare to add some shape and then I apply the Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick in Velvet Beige over top. It's such a good combo!

If you're a regular reader/viewer of The Anna Edit then you'll know all about capsule wardrobes. I was completely new to the concept but after watching a few of her videos I really started to get into the idea of creating one. As I've mentioned before, I'm not really into fashion. I have my own style and way I like to dress but when it comes to putting outfits together and trying new things, I'm about as experimental as a paper clip - I guess you could say I'm a creature of habit. Over the past 6 months or so I've purchased a few items which are quite different for me and it got me thinking that I should put them in my very first capsule wardrobe. Autumn is my favourite season for fashion and I know I'm going to have a lot of fun creating different outfits using these 5 key pieces.
Over The Knee Boots
I'm a massive fan of over the knee boots and I love that they can be used for a casual outfit or something a bit dressier. I tend to wear them with skirts and dresses but they also look amazing with jeans. I bought mine from Primark for around £15 and it was honestly one of the best fashion purchases I've ever made! They have a chunky heel which gives me a bit of extra height and they're actually really comfortable. Everyone should own a pair!

An Oversized Jumper
Jumpers have never been my thing but in the colder months, they're a must! I'm not really into thin, tight materials but I love anything oversized as I think it looks more flattering on me as I'm bigger in the boob region. I found this gorgeous jumper in Zara about a month ago and I'm obsessed with it. It has a bow detail at the back and it sits just below my jeans which for me is the perfect length. I got mine in cream but it also comes in red, grey, pink and black so there's something for everyone.

High-Waisted Jeans
When it comes to jeans it's skinnies or nothing for me and I recently decided to jump on the high-waisted bandwagon and I'm actually really enjoying it. Again I think these are a really good option if you've got a bit of a bum and you want something that's going to accentuate it in a nice way and give you a bit more shape. I got mine from New Look and I decided to get them in a standard blue wash to make them more versatile.

A Ribbed Dress
This was another random Zara find. It's a t-shirt style dress and it has a lovely ribbed fabric which gives it a really nice fit. I'd probably wear this with ankle boots and a leather jacket for a night out when I want to look put together but not over-done. It's also a complete bargain at £12.99!

The Cross Body Bag
Cross body bags are my go-to because they fit all of my necessities and stop me packing things I don't actually need. I found mine in the Accessorize sale about a year and a half ago and it's still going strong. I love that it's neutral with hints of faux snakeskin. It goes with pretty much all of my outfits and it makes me feel like I've made a bit more effort when I actually haven't.

So there you have my first ever capsule wardrobe! Have you ever thought about making one?

My Autumn Capsule Wardrobe

I don't know about you, but I personally I find it really hard to use up products in a short amount of time. It's probably because I have so many things on the go, I don't tend to stick to anything long enough to actually finish it. Recently I've been trying to make sure I finish things before I open new products and today I thought I would show you what I've managed to use up.
Skincare

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish
I'm not even surprised to see another one of these in this post. It's one of my all-time favourite cleansers and I'll always have one on the go.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Serum
This was a good everyday serum but I don't think it's hydrating enough for my skin.

GlamGlow Supermud Mask
I really enjoyed using this mask and I would definitely consider re-purchasing it in the future. It helps remove congestion and impurities and my skin looks so much clearer afterward.

Indeed Labs Exfoliator
This was quite different to anything else I've used but I actually really liked it and would definitely buy it again. It's a powder exfoliator that uses fruit enzymes to resurface the skin without being harsh or abrasive. Hubby also loves this because it gets rid of excess shine and dry patches. I can't recommend it enough!

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Serum
I loved using this serum and I also had the matching day cream which was lush. The Aqualia Thermal range is amazing for anyone with dry/dehydrated skin and it's definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a budget-friendly option.

I also used up -
Pixi Double Cleanse
The Body Shop Vitamin E Mist
Skyn Iceland Pure Cloud Cleanser
Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm
Boots Botanics 100% Organic Rosewater Spritz
Superdrug Simply Pure Hydrating Serum

Haircare

Herbal Essences Bio-Renew White Strawberry & Sweet Mint Shampoo
I'm obsessed with this shampoo. It cleans and conditions the hair without leaving a residue and it smells like sweets. What more could you ask for?

Bodycare

Superdrug Treat Me Salted Caramel Bath & Shower Soak
I only started using this a couple months ago but I'm pretty sure I've already gone through 5 or 6 bottles. If you like sweet scents, you've got to try this!

The Body Shop Pina Colada Exfoliating Cream Body Scrub
This was a really nice body scrub that kept my arms and legs smooth without aggravating my eczema.

Empties | October 2017

I don't know about you, but I personally I find it really hard to use up products in a short amount of time. It's probably because I have so many things on the go, I don't tend to stick to anything long enough to actually finish it. Recently I've been trying to make sure I finish things before I open new products and today I thought I would show you what I've managed to use up.

I've made quite a few trips to the high-street recently and with all of the Halloween and Christmas launches starting to hit the shelves, my urge to shop is at an all-time high! I picked up a few bits the other day and I can't wait to start using them. There's a mix of beauty, homeware, and even a fashion piece! I know, what's happening to me?
Super Facialist Hyaluronic Acid Firming Intense Facial Serum | £14.99
I haven't seen this range in Boots before so I'm assuming it's new which is really exciting as there aren't many affordable Hyaluronic Acid products at the drugstore. I wasn't really sure what to get but in the end, I went for the serum as I don't have that many at the moment and I thought it would be fun to try. It's supposed to help smooth the skin's texture and minimise the appearance of fine lines. I can't wait to try it!

Boots Botanics Organic Rosewater Toning Spritz | £7.99
This is actually a re-purchase so it's probably not the most interesting product in the haul but it's definitely an important one. I use this after acid toning or if I just need a boost of hydration. If you love face mists you should definitely check this out!

Primark 40 LED Star Lights | £4
I've wanted some indoor lights for absolutely ages and I found these super pretty rose gold ones in Primark for under a fiver! I think they make the bedroom look so cosy and inviting and I also thought they might come in handy for blog photos.

DW Home Candy Cane Candle | £5.99
TK Maxx is such a good place for candles and I'm so happy I found this when I was there. It's a true candy cane scent and it comes in a gorgeous red jar which looks so pretty on my desk. I'm definitely going to go back and see what other scents they have because I can already tell I'm going to want more.

Primark Peach Oil Lipgloss | Peachful & Peach Forever | £2.50
I know most of you are probably thinking that Autumn is the completely wrong time to start wearing lip gloss but I've just really been enjoying how it looks. I spotted these Too Faced dupes in Primark the other day and I thought they were such pretty shades. Peach Forever is a nice milky peach and Peach Ful has a slightly more brown/nude undertone.

New Look Black Stripe Heartbreaker Slogan T-Shirt | £9.99
I've wanted a striped t-shirt for so long and when I saw this one in New Look, It's exactly what I've been looking for and it even has a slogan. Bonus! It fits really nicely and I would say to go for your normal size if you want it to be just right. This is such a bargain and it's definitely not something to skip if you're a regular t-shirt wearer like me!

I've been a big fan of Indeed Labs ever since I tried their Hydraluron Serum back in 2015. They're one of my favourite skincare brands and I love that all of their products are fragrance-free. This year they've expanded their range and I'm so excited to show you two of their new products!
Indeed Laboratories Eyesilix II* | £21.99
I didn't notice much of a difference when I used the original Eyesillix but I'm still really looking forward to trying the upgraded version. Formulated with essential peptides, ceramides, extracts and probiotics, this all in one cream helps to tackle everything from fine lines and wrinkles to dark circles and puffiness. It's also supposed to help smooth around the eye area and enhance the skin's elasticity. My eyes have been quite dark and dry recently and I'm hoping this will help them out.

Indeed Laboratories Hydration Booster* | £16.99
I've never tried a skincare booster before so I'm very excited to see what this is like. They have 3 to choose from but the one I have is all about hydration. It uses Hyaluronic Acid to bind moisture to the skin and Aquaxyl and Niacinamide to help strengthen the skin's barrier. You can use it alone, as a serum or mixed in with other products for an extra boost of hydration. This is exactly what my skin needs right now and I can't wait to try it and report back!

I was super excited when I heard that The Ordinary had released foundations and because I already had such a positive experience with their skincare products, my expectations were extremely high. It took me a while to actually order the foundations but this was probably a good thing as there were a lot of shipping issues when they first launched but thankfully this has all been fixed and you can now easily order them through their website or from ASOS and Cult Beauty. I've been using the foundations almost daily and I am honestly so impressed with them. I normally know straight away whether I'm going to like a base product or not and these were no exception.
The Ordinary Serum Foundation | 1.0N | £5.70
I love both foundations but if I had to pick a favourite it would definitely be this one. The formula is very thin and spreadable but it still has a good medium coverage. I apply it with a sponge and it gives my skin a gorgeous natural finish. Another thing that really impressed me was the wear time. I'll apply it in the morning and it literally stays put all day. I've also noticed that I don't get as shiny as I do with other foundations. When it came to choosing my shade I automatically went for the lightest option and for once, it turned out to be an exact match! I can't praise this enough!

The Ordinary Coverage Foundation | 1.0N | £5.90
Normally I shy away from thicker, heavier coverage foundations but this is very different to what you'd expect. It doesn't cling to dry patches or texture and it's actually really easy to blend. Because I like my daily base to be quite fresh and glowy, this is something I would keep for special occasions or if I'm having a really bad skin day. I was expecting it to have a matte finish but it's actually a satin which I prefer as it stops it looking flat. I find it lasts a good 6-8 hours on my combination skin and I only have to touch up once. I'm very surprised by this foundation and I love having it in my collection.

So there you have my thoughts on The Ordinary Foundations. To me, they're 100% worth the hype and I would highly recommend giving them a go!

Last week I was lucky enough to be invited to the Olay Media Event at the Ice Tank in London. We did some fun little science experiments, I got to have a play with some of their new formulas and then I had an amazing facial massage by a lovely lady from Perfect 10. I also had my skin analyzed by a machine and although I was nervous for the results, it was still super exciting to get a closer look at my skin. Hubby and I had such a fun time at the event and I really wanted to show you some of the photos I took and tell you a little bit more about the new products.
Olay has been on a mission to figure out whether it's our genes that control visible signs of ageing or if it's something else. After testing DNA and analyzing lifestyle data from 150,000 women, they discovered that external factors like UV exposure and hydration are far more important when it comes to skin ageing.

Using these findings, Olay has re-engineered three of their top anti-ageing products to be even more effective. The Regenerist 3 Point Super Age-Defying Cream* is supercharged with advanced Amino-Peptide Complex II which helps to plump, hydrate and firm the skin. It also contains Niacinamide to improve the skin's texture and reduce fine lines and enlarged pores. To make the cream even more potent, they've added Carob Seed Extract which is great for reducing redness and inflammation.
Another offering from the Regenerist line that's had a makeover is the Luminous Skin Tone Perfecting Cream*. This is perfect if your main concern is luminosity and uneven skin tone. It's now formulated with Carnosine, a di-peptide which helps to visibly reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation and dark spots. And finally, we have the Total Effects 7 in 1 Day Moisturiser SPF 15*. I'm already familiar with this as my mom uses the tinted version and loves it. Now with 50% more Vitamin E and double the amount of Green Tea Extract, this is your one-stop shop for hydration, anti-ageing, SPF and protection against free radicals.

As soon as Autumn and Winter roll around I automatically feel inclined to have a pamper session. It just feels so appropriate. I mean, what girl doesn't love an excuse to laze around in bed and consume an entire tub of Ben and Jerry's? Seeing as it's the weekend, I thought it was the perfect time to share 5 things I like to do when I want to take some time out and just chill.
Set The Mood | The first thing I always do when I'm having a bit of a pamper is light a candle. It's so simple but they make such a difference to my mood and having my favourite scent in the background always makes me feel nice and cosy. I have a Cranberry Marmalade Mini from Chelsea Candle on my desk and I can't wait to start burning it. It literally smells like Christmas.

Double Cleanse | On the weekends I like to take advantage of the extra time and do a thorough double cleanse. My skin's been a bit temperamental recently so I've switched back to my trusty Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish. I've also started using the Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask again which leaves my skin feeling really soft and hydrated.

Scrub A Dub Dub | My body gets extremely dry and because I have Keratosis Pilaris it looks even worse so once a week I like to do a proper good scrub. At the moment I'm using one from Happy Place Cosmetics and I love it. It gets rid of all the dry skin but still moisturises at the same time. They don't do this particular scent anymore but they've just released a ton of new ones which all sound amazing.

Vamp Up | Pamper evenings are probably the only time I actually bother to paint my nails. Normally I opt for nudes or pinks but I'm switching it up for Autumn and going for Barry M's Raspberry which is a gorgeous deep wine shade.

Do Something You Enjoy | To finish off my routine I like to watch a film but of course, you can do whatever it is that helps you unwind. Chick flicks are my weakness and they have been since I was little. Whether it's Mean Girls, Legally Blonde or There's Something About Mary, you name it, I love em' all. I recently bought Bridget Jones's Baby on DVD and it was probably my best decision ever. Ok, maybe not ever, but I do think it's brilliant and definitely worth watching if you haven't already.

So that's my Sunday sorted. What are you getting up today?
