Over the past four or five months, my taste in makeup has changed quite a lot and I've started to adopt a really easy, minimal look that only takes me around 15 minutes to do. I've recently added a few new products to my routine and today I thought I would share them with you.
Before I apply my foundation I like to use a small amount of the DHC Velvet Skin Coat on the areas where I have large pores and congestion as it helps smooth everything out and give a nice even base. Then I go in with the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream which has a good amount of coverage and a beautiful natural finish. For my dark circles and redness, I've recently started using the Glossier Stretch Concealer and so far I'm really liking it. It has a creamy consistency but doesn't move or look cakey which I love. Cream blushers are such a good way to add colour to the face and the Glossier Cloud Paint in Dusk is my new go-to. To finish off my base I have to add a touch of highlighter and the Glossier Haloscope in Quartz is literally dewy, healthy skin in a tube. I just apply it with my fingertips and it gives me the J-Lo glow in seconds!
I'm not really a big eyeshadow fan but I do like to add a wash of colour just so that my eyes don't look bare compared to the rest of my face. MAC Soba is such a pretty muted brown and I think it looks so understated and chic swept all over the lid. Then I apply a few coats of the Estee Lauder Sumptuous Knockout Defining Lift and Fan Mascara to help perk up my almost non-existent lashes. I'm really happy with my brows at the moment so I've been skipping my pencils and pomades and been opting for the Eyeko Brow Gel instead.
My usual lip products have been feeling a little overkill lately but I find that the Glossier Generation G in Cake is the perfect balance between a tinted balm and a full-on lipstick. It has a matte finish but isn't drying and the slight peachy tint is so natural and easy to wear, I can apply it without a mirror! I really need to pick up some of the other shades!

You've reminded me how much I love Soba! I really like that DHC Velvet Skin Coat too! xx

Mac eyeshadows are amazing quality. I love to just give the crease of my eye a little bit of definition for an everyday look. I use Makeup Geek Peach Smoothie, which looks super similar to Soba in the pan!

The IT cosmetics CC cream sounds so good! I recently picked up the Nars matte concealer and I think that's quite a versatile product, although it is a bit more coverage :) x

My barely there makeup is literally barely there; concealer, eyebrows, a touch of highlighter, blush and mascara. LOL!

I love my Glossier products for a barely there look too. I bought the Haloscope in Quartz too but I haven't tried it yet because I've been so busy. But I can't wait. I love the IT Cosmetics cc cream too because it's got great coverage but feels and looks so natural!
ReplyDeleteThat Haloscope looks soo pretty in the tube, definitely one I'd want in my collection but I don't think I'd use it as often as I think I would. That lip product is so intriguing I don't think I've heard anyone speak about it yet

I just got glossier stretch and I must say, its very unique. The lightest shade isn't very light at allllll and since its so hydrating and glossy I can only use it under my dry eyes, and obviously thats where you want your light and bright concealer, so I kind of put it to the back of my drawer and forgot about it!

I am really trying to strip back my makeup recently and I am adapting a more natural and barely there makeup look. I am going to have to try some of these products out!

These are such nice products; I love MAC Soba. At first I thought it looked kind of "mweh" but only until you actually apply it - it is so pretty. Great photos xx
