After picking up my final bits for the wedding, I decided to have a quick mooch in Boots this morning. There wasn't much going on but I found some unexpected gems at the Soap and Glory counter. They have released 6 shades in this range and I have two to show you. I hope you enjoy guys!

They have the same packaging as the Gloss Sticks, (basically a palm size tube with a cap) Perfect for travel.
Price - £3.50 for 1.4g
Texture - Smooth, creamy
Finish - Opaque, soft, velvety matte lips

What they say
The ulti-matte lip-plumping sensation! Soap & Glory’s SEXY MOTHER PUCKER™ MATTE-LIP™ gives a soft, long-lasting, super-velvety finish. Ultra-smooth and easy-to-apply, it sculpts, defines and visibly volumises lips in a flash.

Key claims
- Lip plumping
- Easy to apply
- Intense super colour in one stroke

What is it
These are beautiful mini lipsticks that provide full coverage, smooth texture and a gorgeous matte finish. The shape of the bullet makes it perfect to apply without a lip liner. They have a super creamy, buttery texture and virtually no scent. Suitable for everyone.

This is the shade ' Choccoberry'
The name is perfect for this colour. It's a brown/berry with some hints of pink. It will work as a 'Kylie Jenner' lip on fair/medium skin tones or as a fabulous nude on deeper skins. It is a lovely warm tone.

This is the shade 'Berry-Much'
It is a deep berry/purple with some hints of pink. This is more blue based. Any skin tone can pull of this shade.

As you can see from the swatches, they are incredibly pigmented and creamy. They do not drag or cling to dry patches. Even though they are matte, they are so comfortable and non drying on the lips.
You can use them alone or paired with a matching lip liner.
A good lip liner choice would be MAC Subculture for choccoberry and MAC Beet for berry-much.

I will get back to you on the wear time and wether it actually plumps my lips.

Pros
- Super affordable
- Handy size
- Creamy formula
- Intense colour pay off
- Smooth application
- Non drying
- No scent

Cons
- None!!!

Summary
I think I have found my new favourite lipstick range. I cannot find one fault with these lip crayons. It takes a lot for me to be impressed with makeup, and I think Soap and Glory have done an amazing job. Get down to Boots and give them a go for yourself. Thanks for reading!

Finding a good eye cream is a pain in the ass for me. I believe water, Vitamin C and sleep are the only things that can help reduce the appearance of dark circles, ( this sounds a bit like a TV advert... moving on). This Kiehls treatment is the best thing I've used so far, to hydrate and moisturise my eye area. Enjoy the review folks!

The eye cream comes in a small plastic pot. Nice and simple packaging. Great for travel.
Price - £20 for 14ml
Texture - Thick, smooth cream
Finish - Soft, moisturised skin

What they say
This rich and creamy eye treatment contains vitamin A, avocado oil and fatty acids, providing intense hydration for the delicate eye area.

Key ingredients
Vitamin A - Reduces wrinkles and smooths roughness
Avocado Oil - Relieves dryness and moisturises
Fatty acids - Deeply nourish the skin

What is it
This is a luxurious eye treatment that softens and hydrates the eye area. It has a gorgeous thick, buttery texture which glides along the skin with out tugging or pulling. It has a very light, almost fruity scent. Suitable for all skin types.

How I use it
I take a small amount and apply it all around my eyes. I take it under the eye, around the cheek bones and also on my lids. You can use it AM/PM, I love it for both. It sits beautifully under makeup. After applying it, the skin is super soft and nourished.

Pros
- Huge amount of product
- Mid priced
- Almost no scent
- Buttery texture
- Easily absorbs
- Instantly nourishes and moisturises
- Travel friendly

Cons
- None

Summary
What a lovely eye cream! It ticks all the boxes for me. It provides all the moisture and hydration without being too thick or awkward to work with. I love how to the point but effective it is. Sal, if you're reading this, I would definitely try it! Thanks for reading everyone!

This post is going to be brief as January wasn't a big discovery month for me, but there were a few bits that I couldn't stop using! We've got a mix of Makeup and Skincare. I've found a lot of new amazing product recently, so hopefully next month's Favourites will be more exciting! Enjoy.

Skincare
Super Facialist by Una Brennan Vitamin C Brighten Skin Renew Cleansing Oil
Something about this cleanser just works with my skin. It has been my go to morning cleanser for weeks now. It cuts through the grease, whilst hydrating and adding glow. What more can I ask for?

Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution
Ok, I admit it, I was wrong. This micellar water makes removing makeup a dream! It comes off in a flash and doesn't dry out or irritate my skin. Of course it doesn't replace my balm/gel/oil cleansers, but it does what it promises.

Clearasil 5 in 1 Cleansing Pads
My skin's texture was rough and uneven after all my recent travelling to Birmingham. These acid toning pads helped unclog and smooth my skin after just a couple of uses. The rough texture of the pads, helped buff and exfoliate, leaving my skin soft and clear.

Makeup
Maybelline Colour Tattoo Creamy Mattes - Creamy Beige
This cream shadow is the solution to quick, effortless smokey eyes. This shade is perfect for my fair skin to give a wash of colour or a more smudgy intense look. I even wore it on Christmas, so it's been favourite for a while. If you have a medium-dark skin tone, this will be great for a skin tone base.

Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick - Serenity
I couldn't get on board with the liquid lipstick craze, but this is an exception. This has been my favourite lip colour all winter. It's a warm pink with brown undertones and it goes with any makeup look. I've been loving the pigmentation, staying power and texture. Definitely the biggest January favourite. If you haven't tried the Gerard Cosmetics liquid lipsticks, get on it!

This cleanser has been on my to buy list for years now. After hearing great reviews and Caroline Hirons giving it the seal of approval, it had to be mine. I finally picked it up in John Lewis last week, and at last, I can see what everyone has been raving about! I hope you enjoy my review of the Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm.

The cleanser comes in a nice slim bottle with a flip cap. Not bad for travel (if the only cleanser).
Price - £15.50 for 100ml
Texture - Soft oily, gel/balm
Finish - Fresh, clean, gorgeous soft skin

What they say
A cleansing balm from MERUMAYA that spreads effortlessly over your skin, melting on contact so that your fingers glide easily, picking up make up and the day's grime. When you add water to the massage, it turns to a light milk, making it easy to remove with Daily Cleansing Cloths ™ or a splash of water.

Key ingredients
Sweet Almond Oil - Rich in Vitamin E and essential fatty acids
Echium Oil - Contains Omega 3/6/9 which are high in antioxidants

What is it
This is the best affordable cleansing balm I've tried so far. It has a beautiful soft texture that melts instantly into an oil. It spreads evenly and glides around the face with just enough slip. It has a light herbal scent, which is so soothing whilst you're cleansing. Suitable for all skin types.

(please excuse my very dry hands)

How I use it
I take a 5-10p blob and massage it across my face, eyes and neck. A little goes a very long way. You can use this as a skin cleanser or makeup remover, I prefer it as my skin cleanser. It is suitable for AM and PM, I love it at both times. Once I've worked it around I remove it with a nice hot flannel. Even though it says you can add water and emulsify, I don't find it works well that way. It semi emulsifies and just gets a bit tacky.
It removes all dirt and grime from the day and works great for a quick facial massage. My skin feels and looks amazing after using this balm, like really amazing!

Pros
- Affordable
- Gorgeous scent
-Amazing texture
- Good amount of product
- Nice slim packaging
- Works after first use
- Nice simple ingredient list

Cons
- None!

Summary
I am very impressed. This cleansing balm is perfect for everyone. It gives you super soft, hydrated glowing skin in minutes. I've been using it more than any other cleanser, and I've only had it for a week! Please try it guys, you won't regret it. Thank you for reading!
