Seriously, who hasn't heard of The Inkey List by now? The simple yet recognizable packaging is all over Instagram and in drugstores across the UK, US, Canada and Europe. We've all stood at the beauty counter at some point baffled by the endless rows of products all claiming to do the same thing but The Inkey List believe that the more knowledge you have the better decisions you make and I completely agree. Their friendly and informative approach makes it super easy to create your ideal skincare recipe (you can do this online or through their social media) and figure out which products match your skin concerns without all of the confusing beauty jargon. They also offer fair pricing with the range varying from £4.99 to £14.99 - amazing skin has never been more accessible!

Breakouts seem to be the hot topic right now and it doesn't matter whether they're from pollution, stress (anyone else having a mini-meltdown every month, no, just me?), consuming too much chocolate or wearing a face covering, they have got to go. I was kindly sent The Inkey List SPOTlight Blemish Clearing Skin Recipe* featuring five of their most effective ingredients for banishing breakouts including the brand new Succinic Acid Blemish Treatment* which is my new secret skincare weapon...

Salicylic Acid Cleanser* | has been a staple in my collection for months now and it's always my first port of call when I wake up a spotty beast. It's a light, non-stripping gel that I typically reach for in the mornings as it helps remove any overnight sweat/shedding and creates a lovely smooth base for the rest of my routine. It contains 2% Salicylic Acid (a Beta Hydroxy Acid) which gently exfoliates and unclogs the excess sebum/dead skin in the pores. The gel also contains Zinc to help control excess oil. Despite only being on the skin for about 60 seconds, it makes a big difference to the overall texture of the skin and after a few uses, my skin is less congested.

Hyaluronic Acid| is like the Beyonce of skincare. It does it all. Naturally occurring in the skin and holding up to 1000x it's weight in water, it's the ultimate hydration booster. I've tried multiple formulas in the past but The Inkey List's offering definitely beats them all. It's super affordable, easy to slot into your routine and most importantly gives you the juiciest, plumpest looking skin. Like SPF, it's that one ingredient that everyone can benefit from regardless of their skin type. I apply mine to slightly damp skin for a bouncy, dewy finish. It also smooths out any dehydration lines and makes a great base for foundation!

Niacinamide| Also known as Vitamin B3, this 10% Niacinamide serum helps to reduce excess oil, breakouts and redness in all skin types. My skin is pretty robust but it can be touch-sensitive to certain products but I was pleasantly surprised to see this actually calm my skin and tone down the pinker areas including my forehead which is a stubborn patch. It's a slightly milkier texture than the Hyaluronic Acid but you only need a pea-sized amount and it layers beautifully over top. I've been using it AM & PM and I've noticed less congestion across my nose, cheeks and chin and overall my tone is much more even.

Succinic Acid Blemish Treatment* | I was so excited when I saw the latest launch over on Instagram. I've never been devoted to a spot treatment (except when I was 10 and carried around a tea tree cover-up like it was the holy grail) but sometimes serums just don't cut it and you need something heavy-duty. I've never heard of Succinic Acid before but it works similar to Salicylic Acid by gently unclogging pores, reducing oil levels and calming inflammation. It also has antimicrobial properties and protects against environmental stressors. The Succinic Acid Blemish Treatment* is a bright green cream formula instead of a traditional gel base which I quite prefer. It can look quite scary when you first apply the treatment but it blends out completely clear and the natural green tint is amazing at reducing red patches. I had some active blemishes at the start of February and within a few days, they had gone down completely with no scarring! Oh, and did I mention it's less than a tenner - bargain or what?

Multi-Biotic* | To seal everything in I've been using this moisturiser which has become my new go-to, especially in the mornings. Although it's recommended for blemish-prone/oily skin, the beautifully light yet hydrating lotion could work for everyone (if you're extremely dry you might prefer something richer). Combining Pro-Biotic with both Pre & Post Biotics the formula helps balance the bacteria of the skin and promotes a healthy pH level. There's also 2% Squalane which is amazing at softening and adding moisture to the skin without clogging pores or feeling heavy. It definitely rivals some of my high-end faves!

Have you tried anything from The Inkey List yet?
