pixi skincare for beginners
I've gone through a lot of Pixi Skincare over the years and it's become one of the brands I go back to time and time again. It goes without saying that Pixi is best-known for their Glow Tonic which is a cult favourite in the beautysphere and for good reason. Over the past few years, their range has more than doubled in size and there are now six separate collections all designed for different skin concerns and naturally, it can be quite overwhelming to know where to start so today I'm sharing my top picks that I think everyone should start with!

Everyone needs a decent cleanser in their routine and Pixi have a plethora to choose from but for me, there are two in particular that I find the most effective and easy to get along with. The Glow Mud Cleanser is a must-have for pretty much everyone but especially those who struggle with clogged pores, texture and breakouts. Formulated with 5% Glycolic Acid and soothing botanicals, the creamy paste helps to slough away dead skin and reduce blemishes leaving your face looking much brighter and smoother. If you already have a skin cleanser and you're looking for something to take off your makeup then Double Cleanse is where it's at! Half balm, half cream, this speedy duo is the perfect thing to use at night to thoroughly remove makeup and SPF whilst still being really gentle. It's packed with Vitamin E, Camellia Oil and Evening Primose which help to protect, nourish and moisturise. I like to use both products with a nice warm-hot flannel and my skin always looks lovely and fresh at the end!

I've been using Pixi toners for the longest time and I love that there's now something for everyone. As I mentioned before the Glow Tonic has and always will be their hero product. It's the perfect entry product to acid toners but is also great for people who already use AHAs and chemical exfoliants on a regular basis. The 5% Glycolic Acid and soothing Aloe Vera work to accelerate cell renewal, reduce the appearance of pores and help fade pigmentation and marks by gently removing dead skin. I've gone through two or three bottles over the years and it's still a firm favourite of mine! Their Vitamin C Tonic* is great slotted into your morning routine for a boost of anti-oxidants and luminosity! If you prefer something you can easily spritz on then I would highly recommend picking up the Hydrating Milky Mist or Glow Mist* which both offer quick hydration and can also be used to freshen up your makeup! The latter is probably better suited to those with drier skin as the formula contains 13 natural oils for a seriously dewy finish! I'm also a massive fan of their Glow Mud Mask which is perfect for a weekend pamper or even a mid-week pick me up when your skin is looking a bit dull and needs reviving! It's also super easy to remove!

I've had mixed experiences with Pixi serums in the past but their Vitamin C offering is one I can't be without it! It's so important to have a product like this in your routine, especially if you live in a busy city surrounded by pollution and other environmental aggressors. The formula is super thin and lightweight (not gritty like a lot of other Vitamin C products) and absorbs quickly into the skin, giving a gorgeous healthy glow. Vitamin C and Ferulic Acid help to protect against sun damage, free-radicals and also promote collagen production, building a better barrier and gradually evening out the skin tone for a brighter, more flawless appearance! It really is an amazing product! To seal everything into place I've been loving the Rose Ceramide Cream* which almost feels like butter on the skin but isn't greasy or heavy in the slightest making it an amazing base for makeup! It's perfect for this time of year when the weather starts taking a toll on your skin and you need some serious TLC! I'd also highly recommend their Beauty Sleep Cream for the evening. It kind of works like a leave-on mask and my skin always looks so radiant and plump the next morning!
