new makeup from revlon 2020
I love discovering new beauty products, especially if they're more affordable. Last year the high street makeup brands seriously upped their game, creating lots of exciting, innovative products - it's about time! I'd tried a couple things from Revlon in the past and really enjoyed them and over the last few months, they've added quite a few collections to their range which is super exciting! I've been lucky enough to be sent some of the recent additions from foundation and concealer to a variety of lip formulas and today I'm talking you through everything I've been loving and think you will too!

I think everyone and their Aunt Janice has tried a Revlon foundation at some point (you know the ones) but for some strange reason, I've just never got round to it until their PhotoReady Candid Anti-Pollution Foundation & Concealer* landed on my desk! Inspired by skincare, this super cute duo is loaded with antioxidants to protect against blue light and pollution whilst offering a beautifully smooth, creamy texture that blends seamlessly into the skin. They're a good medium-buildable coverage making them perfect as an everyday base and a great option for anyone who doesn't like heavy formulas or perhaps can't wear a lot of makeup due to school/work. I like to buff them in with a brush and together they provide a gorgeous satin finish that just looks like healthy skin. There's also the matching PhotoReady Candid Anti-Pollution Powder* which I've been absolutely loving to set my makeup as it leaves everything looking really blurred and natural but still mattified in the areas I need. It only comes in one shade so I would give it a swatch in store first if you have medium-dark skin.

Another recent addition to the PhotoReady range is the Rose Glow Hydrating & Illuminating Primer* which comes in the cutest little pink bottle! You guys know I'm all about having a dewy base and this silky, water-based serum definitely gives a glow! Infused with oil beads, pearlescent and quartz, it works perfectly under makeup or alone for an overall luminous, more awake appearance. It does have the slightest hint of fine shimmer but once you've applied the rest of your base products you don't notice it and you're left with naturally glowing skin! I'm obsessed with this product and to top it off, it smells like sweet roses in the best way possible!

It's no secret that I love a good highlight but the majority of what's in my collection are powders so I'm really looking forward to properly testing out a liquid option. The Revlon Colourstay Endless Glow Liquid Highlighter* comes in 3 shades; Citrine, a pale champagne, Rose Quartz (the one I have) and Gold which would look stunning on darker skin. It comes in a small tube with a large doe-foot applicator and unlike most other liquid highlighters, this is a much thicker formula which isn't a bad thing but it does mean you have to work in sections when applying it. I've tried it a few times and I've found that blending it in with my finger is the best way to use it. It gives such a gorgeous sheen to the skin, it's probably not something I'd use everyday but for a night out this would look amazing under lights. Rose Quartz* is sadly a bit too dark and coppery for my fair skin but I think Citrine will be a winner!

I'm such a lipstick junkie and Revlon have just gone and fed my addiction even more with their recent launches! Starting with my favourite and most used formula, the Kiss Glow Lip Oils* are a balm/gloss hybrid, offering a sheer glowy tint of colour that feels super comfortable on and leaves your lips feeling really soft and conditioned. It comes in a bunch of shades but Glow'd Up Rose* is without a doubt my most loved (shocker it's a pinky/browny nude!) I also really like My Peach* on a no-makeup makeup day to add a bit of warmth to my face. They feel so hydrating on the lips and I love that you don't have to think to apply them! If you prefer a matte finish, you'll adore the Kiss Cloud Blotted Lip Colour*! A modern liquid lipstick that doesn't feel drying or leave your lips resembling a Greggs sausage roll. The velvety formula literally glides on and provides a lovely bold finish. It won't surprise you that my favourite shade is Whipped Hazelnut* (another pretty nude) but I've also worn Cherries On A Cloud* a couple times and it's just the most stunning true red. I still can't believe both formulas are under £10 - say whattt?

Will you be trying any of these new goodies from Revlon?
