We all have those days where our face feels rough and bumpy, and looks grey and lifeless. Makeup is great for adding colour back into the face, but it won't help the texture and overall appearance of the skin. Exfoliation is your best friend for treating these issues and I have found some amazing products that will help get your skin looking radiant, fresh and glowing.

My favourites are -

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Glycolic Overnight Peel - £5.99
Amount - 30ml
Texture - Gel
Acid Percentage - 1.4%

Nip and Fab Glycolic Fix Serum - £14.95
Amount - 30ml
Texture - Gel
Acid Percentage - 4%

Pixi Skintreats Overnight Glow Serum - £26
Amount - 30ml
Texture - Gel
Acid Percentage - 10%

These three serums are designed to resurface, refine and smooth the skin overnight. They all have a similar thick gel consistency which you apply after your toner and before your moisturiser.
Funnily enough, they are all glycolic acid based, which is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid. AHA's are also called chemical exfoliants and they work by breaking down the bonds holding dead skin cells together, helping to unclog pores, fade pigmentation and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. The next morning you will see and feel a noticeable difference in your skin, especially after you cleanse. As well as smoothing the surface of the skin, they also bring back glow to the face, getting rid of that horrible grey cast we sometimes get.

When using in the day time - apply SPF after/instead of moisturiser
When using at night time - apply SPF next morning

The great thing about the ones I have shown is that there's one to suit everyone. If you're new to using acids, the superdrug one is great because its cheap but very effective. If you use acid toners but need something with a bit more oomph, then the Nip and Fab is perfect and for those who want optimum exfoliation, Pixi OGS will transform the look of your skin.

Thank you so much for reading!
