We've all had those nights where we just can't be bothered to do our full skincare routine. Wether it's from being out all day, not feeling well or just sheer laziness, no one's innocent. That doesn't mean it's impossible to take care of your skin without going to the sink. These are my go to steps and products for when I'm travelling or being super lazy at home. I hope you enjoy.

Cleansing
The safest option for cleanser is a micellar water. I admit I wasn't a fan of them for a long time, but I've found one that works wonderfully at removing my makeup and gently cleansing the skin.  The Simple Kind To Skin Micellar Water is incredible, it's cheap, easily available and suitable for all skin types. Pour some onto a cotton pad and gently remove the first layer of makeup, then repeat again with a fresh cotton pad. Remember to pay special attention to the hairline, jaw and neck. There's also makeup removing pads which work nicely. (Wipes are too harsh)

Acid/Toner
I personally always like to use an acid toner as well as a hydrating one to really smooth the surface of the skin. My favourite acid when in a rush is the Clearasil 5 in 1 Cleansing Pads. They have a slightly rough texture which really buffs and exfoliates any bumpiness. I then spray a hydrating mist over top and depending on my mood, I'll use something like the Caudalie Beauty Elixir for relaxation or La Roche Posay Serozinc for soothing. Both are available in travel sizes.

Serum
This stage is all about personal needs and using something targeted for your skin concern/s. I tend to switch between hydrating and exfoliating serums. To resurface the skin, I like using the Pixi Skintreats Overnight Glow Serum and when my skin is craving moisture I use The Body Shop Vitamin E Serum In Oil

Moisturiser
When it comes to moisturiser, you can use whatever suits your skin but I tend to amp it up and use an overnight mask. There are great ones by Superdrug, Pixi and Origins. They tend to be thicker than a moisturiser but not oily so they leave a film on the skin which really gives you a glow the next morning.
