Urban Decay After Glow 8 Hour Powder Highlighter Review & Swatches

I'm starting to fall back in love with powder highlighters. Most of the time I'd use something more creamy in texture but sometimes it doesn't give that POW effect that I'm looking for. A few weeks ago, hubby and I went on a date night and I used Mary Lou Manizer and forgot how intense but beautiful it is. Since then, I've been on the hunt for new highlighters and I saw this one from UD in Debenhams last week. There are 3 highlighters in the range. Before we get into the review, I just want to say how glad I am that they have created three quite different and universal shades for all skin tones. I purchased shade - Sin.

The highlighter comes in a small plastic compact with a metallic finish. The UD on the cover is a fishnet design. (same as their afterglow blushes)

What is it

This is a gorgeous highlighting powder that applies easily and doesn't look chunky or patchy. It has a very smooth, buttery texture that glides over the skin. This is a more vanilla, golden, yellow tone  - similar to Mary Lou Manizer. It looks beautiful on the cheekbones, cupids bow or just anywhere you want to add light. You can apply it sheer or build the intensity by applying more. It has no scent. Suitable for all skin types and most skin tones.

Summary

This is a beautiful buildable highlighter which gives you that lit from within glow. It sits nicely on the skin and lasts all day, I tend to wear makeup for roughly 6-8 hours. It's a really good solid highlighter that you can use day or night and adjust how intense you want it. They also have 'Fireball' which is more bronzey and 'Aura' which is more pink, so anyone can find a good colour for them. I would definitely recommend having a play with them at your local UD counter! Thanks so much for reading!
