my spring shower essentials blog post
I think most people use Winter as an excuse to spruce up their shower routine but for me, you can't beat a morning wash in the Springtime when everything smells super fresh and uplifting! During the warmer months products tend to be more geared towards cooling and purifying which is perfect for me as I don't like anything too rich or heavy on my skin. I'm absolutely obsessed with everything in my shower at the moment and today I thought I would give you a run through of my top picks!

HASK Charcoal Purifying Shampoo & Conditioner* | I was recently sent this duo along with some of their wine inspired hair masks (I know) and it didn't take long for them to make their way into my shower! I have very fine hair and it hates anything that leaves a residue or weighs it down so these have been perfect! The Charcoal is derived from Coconut Shells and is combined with Citrus Oils which help to clarify the hair and remove any impurities without drying it out. They're also sulfate and paraben free and safe for colour treated hair - yasss!

Nivea Shower Silk Mousse Rhubarb Raspberry* | You guys will have already seen me feature this in my recent Mother's Day post but I still wanted to give it a quick mention because I've been loving it for my morning showers! It has a really luxurious texture and it leaves my skin so soft and moisturised but again not greasy or sticky! I'm also obsessed with the smell - if you like girly, sweet scents then you need to try this!

Mio Skincare Heavenly Body Radiant Salt Scrub* | I love a good body scrub and this has been a godsend for my super dry skin! Every 2-3 days I like using this all over my body but mostly focusing on the flaky areas (mmm, nice) and I love that it helps to exfoliate and smooth whilst still being really gentle! It contains Bitter Orange Peel and Salt particles so you get a nice chunky scrub but nothing uncomfortable and the natural Almond and Coconut Oils leave my skin so glowy and hydrated! Oh, and it smells like a lemon drizzle cake - yum!

Gilette Venus Divine Razor | The sun is here and the layers are coming off which for most of us means it's time to de-fur ourselves. I've tried a lot of razors in my time but this is definitely my top pick. Gilette razors usually have either 5 or 3 blades and I've noticed that I get much less irritation with the latter. I picked this up a couple of weeks ago and it's still going strong which is quite rare for me as most razors fall apart very quickly (maybe they're just not built for my Chewbacca body?) I highly recommend trying this if you're looking for a new razor - also how cute is the baby pink handle?!

Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter Body Lotion* | If you live in the UK you will have definitely tried or at least heard of S&G at some point. They're one of my absolute favourite brands and their body products in particular always take me back to when I was 15 and my wish list featured 99% of their range! I'll forever be loyal to the original S&G scent and The Righteous Butter has been my go-to for years but when they released a lighter version I was instantly converted! This silky pink lotion leaves your body super hydrated and smelling amazing without feeling greasy! I also love the fact it comes with a pump!

two new skincare picks from indeed labs blog post
I was so excited when these babies landed on my desk a few weeks ago. My mission for 2019 is to achieve ultra smooth, 'looks like she drinks 12 glasses of water' kind of skin and since the beginning of the year, I've been experimenting with my routine, narrowing it down to products that my skin truly loves. Indeed Laboratories is still my go-to brand when it comes to skincare and I don't really see that changing in the immediate future. I've realised that above all my skin is happiest when I use products that are effective and do what they say on the tin which these new releases definitely do! If like me, your goal is to have radiant, lit from within skin, then keep reading...

Indeed Laboratories Bakuchiol Reface Pads* | I've only used a couple retinol products in the past but I never found anything that I really loved. These pads contain a plant-based alternative to retinol meaning they're much gentler and won't cause any irritation or dryness which you'd normally expect. Bakuchiol has been used in Asia for centuries and helps to increase cell turnover, restore elasticity and boost collagen production. It also has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties which makes it perfect for minimising blemishes whilst still being suitable for all skin types. I've been using them mainly at night but the amazing thing about these is that you can use them both AM and PM - how fab is that? They're slightly textured but super soft and well saturated which is just what I look for in a pad! I can't get over how much smoother and more refined my skin looks since I started using these and it only took me a couple of days to see a difference! They've helped with everything from fine lines and pores to texture and uneven skin tone - they're literally glass skin in a pot!

Indeed Laboratories Hydraluron Intense Moisture Lotion* | I've been a fan of the Hydraluron family for years now so when I saw that they'd added a moisturiser to the range I got way too excited! It contains an advanced moisture complex formulated with a unique blend of high, medium and low molecular weights of Hyaluronic Acid which is key for helping the product penetrate. The texture is a cross between a lotion and a cream and I find it perfect for layering with serums or applying alone. It leaves my skin feeling really soft and I love that it doesn't just sit on the skin and actually absorbs. As with all Indeed Labs products, it's fragrance-free and is suitable for all skin types but particularly good if dehydration is your main concern. It also contains Copper, Magnesium and Zinc, three amazing minerals which help protect against pollution, stress and other environmental stressors - something I definitely need living in London! I've been absolutely loving this as my daily moisturiser and recently I've noticed my skin looks 100x better under foundation which is a massive bonus!

It's taken me a little while to venture out with what I watch on Netflix, mainly because whenever I'd open the app I'd look around for about four seconds before sticking Friends on for the billionth time! Tell me I'm not the only one who does this? Over the past month or so hubby and I started watching some newbies and we've actually really been enjoying them! I was supposed to get this post up a couple weeks ago but nonetheless here's my monthly Netflix roundup for March! Insert cliche #netflixandchill...

The Sinner | I can't believe how long it took us to start watching this. We finally started it last month and we were instantly hooked. It's a thriller/horror and it kicked in pretty much straight away which we were definitely not expecting. It's about a detective and a woman who murders someone whilst out with her family but there's so much more to the story and it's really interesting seeing it all unravel! We're halfway through season 2 which is a whole new case and so far it's a bit weird but still really good!

Dirty John | I had hardly any idea what this was about apart from the fact it's based off a true story but I've been binge watching the hell out of it! It's about a man who marries a woman but he isn't who she thinks he is - I don't want to give too much detail! I love the characters (although the daughters are extremely annoying), I think Eric Bana has done a great job of making you hate the guy!  There are only eight episodes but they're about 40 minutes long so it takes a few days to get through them. I can't wait to see how it ends!

Abducted In Plain Sight | You can probably see a theme developing here. Normally hubby and I stick to comedies and horrors but it's been really nice trying some different genres. I was on Twitter one night and everyone was talking about this so like Bird Box I knew I needed to see what the fuss was about. What I didn't know was the story would have me cursing at the TV all night! It's a documentary about a girl who was kidnapped by a family friend and I don't want to say too much but it's definitely worth trying although be warned, it's quite graphic and will leave you shocked for words!

1922 | I tend to enjoy most Stephen King novels so when I saw this one had been turned into A Netflix Film I had to watch it! Straight away I knew I was going to like it and it actually turned out to be one of the best things I've seen in ages! It features a family living on a farm in Nebraska and all seems well until the wife decides she wants to leave for the city. The story really sucks you in from the beginning and I think Thomas Jane (aka Peter from The Sweetest Thing)  did such a good job - P.S. he's still a total fitty!

Await Further Instructions | The final recommendation I have for you is this horror/sci-fi mix up which although ended up being a little disappointing, still had a very interesting story that I haven't really seen before. Towards the end, I was starting to get a little impatient but there were definitely some good twists that made it worth the watch!

revlon kiss cushion lip tints blog post
I'm a real sucker for lip products. It's probably the second largest part of my makeup collection after primers and foundations. For me, trying to find the perfect lip formula is like finding a hairdresser that you trust - it takes a lot of searching! I always tend to gravitate towards high-street brands when it comes to lip products and Revlon's latest launch has my name written all over it!

Inspired by the K-Beauty trend of Popsicle Lips, Revlon have created their new Kiss Cushion Lip Tints* to help you easily switch up your lip game without having to sacrifice pigment or comfort. The pillowy cushion tip makes application super easy and luxurious and all of the lippies are infused with Coconut Oil giving the lips a super soft, full appearance. The formula is super nourishing and almost balm-like providing a comfortable finish which can be really hard to find with a bold lip! There are 10 shades in the range and they can either be used alone or together to create a multitude of looks including blotted, stained and two-toned lips. Think post-ice-lolly vibes!

I have 6 shades from the range and they're all so flattering! Pretty Kiss* is a muted rosy brown that I've been wearing pretty much every day! Then we have Pink IRL* a girly bubblegum shade which adds a lovely pop of colour to the face. If orange tones are more your vibe then High-End Coral* is the one for you! Berry Lit* is a super bright fuschia and isn't something I'd normally reach for but I actually really love how it looks against my skin tone. If you prefer a deeper nude or have medium-dark skin then Fancy Rose* is a great one to check out! It has that Kylie Jenner feel which I am all for! Finally, we have Crimson Feels* a beautiful poppy shade that just screams summer!

I find that one application is enough but you can definitely go in with a second for a really bold finish. What I love most about the tints is that they act as a stain without being drying or heavy on the lips so they're perfect for touching up throughout the day. They also have a slight vanilla/caramel scent which I personally love! For £7.99 I think the tints are an absolute bargain and I can already tell they're going to be one of my Spring/Summer staples!
