Garnier SkinActive Review - Honey Gel Wash & Toner

The new Garnier SkinActive range sent everyone into overdrive when it launched but I held off at first as I wanted to see what everyone thought. Most of the reviews I read were positive so I decided to try some of the products from the Honey line. I've been testing them out for a while and I thought it was about time I tell you what I think!
Honey Gel Wash
You get 150ml for £3.49 which is amazing value for money and it should hopefully last you a good 3-4 months if you use it morning and night. It comes in a plastic bottle with a pump which makes it super handy for travel. The cleanser is made with 96% ingredients of natural origin and is enriched with Honey Flower. It also contains Salicylic Acid and Glycerin. I think this is a lovely cleanser to use either AM or PM when you want something quick and easy. Although it doesn't say anything about makeup, two cleanses will remove a full face of cake. The Honey range is designed for dry to very dry skin and whilst it doesn't leave the skin feeling stripped or tight, it obviously won't leave the skin feeling as conditioned as a balm or oil would. I take 1-2 pumps and massage it through and then remove with a flannel but you can rinse off if you prefer. There is a bit of foam action due to the SLS but it's nothing new if you use traditional face washes. After using it my skin feels soft, clean and hydrated. Definitely a thumbs up from me!

Honey Toner
This also costs £3.49 but you get a whopping 200ml! This is very similar to the gel wash in terms of the formula and results. It does contain Alcohol Denat but it's not noticeable at all. I pour it onto a cotton pad after cleansing and it leaves my skin feeling hydrated, plump and balanced. Whilst I do really like this toner, I don't think it's something I would repurchase, mainly due to the fact that I have others which I prefer. If you're a teen or you're looking for a budget toner that isn't going to dry the hell out of your skin, I would highly recommend checking this out!

Have you tried anything from the SkinActive range?

  2. Oooo! Thank you for this review and I will check out both products. I do have dry-normal skin and these sound like they would work for me and I love how budget friendly they are too.

  4. Dry to very dry range, yes please! The facial wash is definitely the one I'm more for, think I'd definitely prefer using it in the morning as a wake me up refresher
