A couple weeks back I made an order with Happy Place Cosmetics after hearing multiple bloggers rave about their amazing products, all of which are handmade, vegan and SLS free. How fab is that? They make a whole range of products from body scrubs to hair masks but what really stands out to me is their Brush Cleansers. (Especially the Gummy Bear one).
I used to use an anti-bacterial hand wash to clean my brushes but after trying these, I'll never go back. There are multiple scents to choose from and they all come in a 100ml pot which is so convenient for travelling. Paired with the free brush egg that comes when you order one of the cleansers, it removes every trace of makeup and leaves the bristles feeling really soft and conditioned. It's like they're brand new...
Step 1 - Rinse the brush head in warm water.
Step 2 - Lather the brush in the cleanser for about 15 seconds.
Step 3 - Use the free brush egg to really deep clean between the bristles.
Step 4 - Thoroughly rinse out all product and squeeze out any excess water.
Step 5 - Line up your clean brushes on a towel to dry.

And that's it! What's your favourite way to clean your brushes?

Thank you so much for reading!

I've been on a bit of a drugstore kick this week so I thought I'd do a post on all of my NYX lip products. After the brand landed in Boots a few months back I've been gradually buying more and more and now I have a pretty decent collection. Heads up, it's 99% neutrals. Who would've guessed?
Butter Gloss - £5
To start off I thought I'd talk about what are pretty much the only lip glosses I use nowadays. Even though the whole makeup loving world is still on the hunt for the perfect matte liquid lipstick, I'm starting to embrace the gloss. These Butter Glosses have a thick, creamy texture that glides onto the lips without feeling gloopy or overly sticky. My favourite shade is Tiramisu which is the perfect nude with just the right amount of pink and brown undertones. For something a bit deeper I love the colour Angel Food Cake. This is more of a 90s, mauve shade. I also have the colour Maple Blondie which is a true peachy-pink bubblegum. All of the glosses have good pigmentation but still offer the option to build up the intensity. They also smell delicious. You'll think you've got frosting on your lips!

Soft Matte Lip Cream - £5.50
I'd heard quite a few people talk about these lip creams but it wasn't until I saw The Anna Edit raving about them that I finally decided to try one for myself. I have to say most of the nude shades aren't really my cup of tea but the shade Stockholm is a different story. It's much more opaque than the glosses but it still has a creamy, almost mousse like formula which is super easy to apply. This has more of a peachy-brown undertone which can look a bit too orangey on me if I don't really work it in and apply a lip liner.
It doesn't have the longest wear time or staying power but it's really comfortable on the lips and is a great option if you want something that's matte and moisturising at the same time.

Lip Lingerie - £6.50
Speaking of matte products, these lip lingeries are my new go-to liquid lipsticks. I know I said I've moved on from this trend but every now and then only a super matte lip will do. They definitely have a dry texture on the lips but I don't mind as much as some people do. The first one I tried was Bedroom Flirt which is still my favourite. It's a mauve-brown shade which looks quite dark on me as I'm quite fair. They're really easy to apply and I can create a good shape with the applicator without having to use a lip liner.
I also have the colour Exotic which if I were to re-name, I would call cherry cola. This is quite a warm red-y brown shade which is just stunning. Both of these have amazing staying power on me and I very rarely have to touch up. They're the ultimate liquid lipstick for those on a budget.

Mega Shine Lip Gloss - £4
I bought this for my Honeymoon as I wanted something that I could just throw on with some mascara and highlighter and not have to worry about it. Salsa is a very pretty everyday pink that looks gorgeous in the warmer months. It's not a sheer finish but it's not super opaque either. The formula isn't too sticky and it lasts for a good hour or so on me which is pretty standard for a gloss. For £4, you can't go wrong.

Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick - £6.50
This is quite a new discovery for me but so far I'm really liking it. The Liquid Suede range is designed to give vibrant colour with a matte finish which it definitely does. I have the shade Soft Spoken which is another 90s inspired shade. I know, I know, it's getting boring to me too. It's the last one I promise. This has a thick, velvety texture which is actually really easy to apply and comfortable to wear. I'll definitely be picking up some more of these!

So there you have my NYX Lip Product round up. What other shades do you think I need to try? Let me know!

Thank you so much for reading!

I don't know about you but I think there's something really satisfying about discovering products that are great quality as well as being readily available and affordable. Recently I've been using a bunch of products which I hardly hear anyone talk about so today I thought it would be fun to share them with you as I think they deserve a lot more recognition.
Primark PS... Primer Water - £2
I first heard about this through the one and only @poofiepeej who is the Queen of discovering hidden gems so a big thank you to her for this amazing find. Primer waters have become a big trend over the past 6 months or so with Smashbox initially starting the hype. At first I wasn't very interested but this has completely changed my mind. I know this technically isn't 'drugstore' but it's very inexpensive so therefor I'm counting it.
Designed to hydrate and refresh the skin, this water helps keep my makeup looking fresh and glowy all day long. It's got a wide but even mist so it doesn't feel like a squirt gun on your face. It also works really well as a pick me up when your makeup starts to look a bit 'worn'. When you spritz it there's a slight floral scent but it disappears very quickly. Another great thing about this water is that it's alcohol, silicone and oil free. How fab is that?!

SEVENTEEN Skin Wow Primer - £5.99
If you're a regular reader of mine then you probably already know how much I adore this product. It's a liquid primer/highlighter that adds a gorgeous pearlescent finish to the skin. It can be used on it's own, mixed with foundation or just applied to the high points of the face. However you choose to use it, you're guaranteed a serious glow.

Freedom Pro Eyebrow Pomade - Medium Brown - £5
I picked this up on a whim last Summer but it actually turned out to be a big staple in my makeup routine. Most brow pomades are quite expensive or really hard to find but this is available in Superdrug for just a fiver. You get a good amount of product and it comes in a wide variety of shades. Unlike some cream products, this is super easy to apply and I always get that defined, carved out brow without the sharpie look. I can't recommend this enough!

NYX Ultimate Shadow Palette - Warm Neutrals - £16
I remember hearing a bit of hype around this product when it first launched but since then I haven't heard a peep. This super sleek palette contains 16 eyeshadows, some matte, some shimmer, all beautiful. The shadows blend seamlessly on the skin and they've got great staying power. I love using one of the matte browns all over the lid with some brown liner smudged into the lash line for a laid back, grungy vibe. The warm tones are also prefect for coming into Spring and Summer.

Freedom Pro Highlight - Diffused - £3
This is one of my favourite highlighters and I still can't believe it's only 3 quid. When I want a more subtle, ethereal glow, I use this on my cheekbones, nose bridge and cupids bow. The texture is really smooth and it applies evenly to the skin. It has a slight pinky-pearl undertone which looks gorgeous with a no-makeup makeup. It comes in a bunch of shades and for £3, you can't wrong.

SEVENTEEN Skin Wow Concealer - Fair - £4.99
After having such good luck with the primer I decided to pick up the matching concealer. I love using this under my eyes on top of another concealer to really brighten and lift the area. It's quite similar to the YSL Touche Eclat concealer, just a fraction of the price. Definitely worth trying if you're looking for a new one.

Barry M Satin Superslick Lip Paint - Truffle Shuffle - £4.99
This is hands down my all time favourite drugstore lipstick. With it's pinky-brown tone and super creamy texture, this goes with just about any look I do. As the name would suggest, it's quite a glossy finish but you can definitely matte it down if you prefer. The packaging is really pretty too!

Have you tried any of these products? Did you like them?

Thank you so much for reading!

A little while ago the lovely people at Jivesse sent me an e-mail asking if I would like to try out one of their products and of course I said yes. Jivesse is a high end skincare brand which is stocked in some of the most prestigious retailers including Harrods and Selfridges. They're also available in John Bell & Croyden which is one of the most popular pharmacies in England. Their goal is to create effective and luxurious products that combat signs of ageing. One of their most popular products is the Marine Collagen Cream which has it's own little cult following but today we're talking about their new sheet mask.
The mask comes in a plastic sachet. Great for travel.
Price - £125
Texture - Very soft, saturated mask
Finish - Soft, hydrated, glowing skin

What they say
Discover Jivesse Collagen Gold Mask. Each 24 karat gold leaf infused mask visibly lifts, tightens and firms the face, uplifting and rejuvenating skin with every use. Skin appears smoother, more radiant and youthful allowing your flawless beauty to shine through.

Key ingredients
24 Karat Gold Leaf - Adds radiance
Hyaluronic Acid - Binds moisture to the skin
Aloe Vera - Soothes and calms

What is it
This is a decadent sheet mask that adds hydration, moisture and radiance to the skin in just 15 minutes. The sheet itself is made out of silk which makes the experience very luxurious and also probably contributes to the hefty price tag. It has a gorgeous light scent which I can only describe as being 'high end'. Suitable for all skin types.

How I Use It & My Results
After cleansing I opened the mask and carefully spread it over my face avoiding the eyes and mouth area. In terms of size it's very similar to other masks I've used and it fit my face quite well although I will say that the eye/mouth holes need to be bigger. The scent is really light and you can hardly smell it once it's on the face. If you look really closely you can see tiny flecks of 24 Karat Gold which is pretty cool. I left mine on for about 25 minutes as I wanted to get the most out of it. After using the mask my face felt softer, more hydrated and the tone of my skin was a lot more even. It definitely gave my skin a lovely boost which I needed as my skin's not looking it's best at the moment.

Pros
- Adds hydration and radiance
- Skin tone looks even
- Nice scent
- Good quality
- Good texture
- Well saturated
- Suitable for all skin types

Cons
- Very expensive
- Mask holes too small

Summary
To say that I've tried a £125 face mask is quite something and I'm so grateful to Jivesse for giving me the chance to try out one of their products. I thoroughly enjoyed using the mask and despite not having the skin type it's targeted towards, it definitely helped improve the issues that I struggle with on a daily basis. Would I purchase this mask? Not at the moment as there's a lot of other things a 19 year old could spend their money on. However this is definitely something I would consider buying when I start to notice signs of ageing. It would also be a nice pick me up for those with mature skin.

Buy it here!

As a beauty blogger I'm constantly surrounded by positive reviews, new launches and beautiful products that I just can't get out of my head, and seen as I've never done a wishlist post before, I thought now was the perfect time to show you the products I'm itching to get my hands on...

Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush Palette - £59
Hourglass is famous for creating powders that set the face whilst adding a gorgeous luminosity and healthy glow without being glittery or obvious on the skin. The shades aren't exactly my cup of tea but the sheer beauty of this palette makes me want it.

Dames & Dimes Organic Chocolate Orange Cleansing Balm - £13.95
I first saw this cleanser on poofie.peej's Instagram where she sung nothing but praise about it's decadent scent and rich, buttery texture. Unfortunately I haven't been able to try it yet as it's always out of stock but as soon as it comes back, I'll be buying one. Or two...

The Body Shop Almond & Honey Calming & Caring Bath Milk - £12
When I decide to have a nice relaxing bath, I love using products like this to add extra hydration and moisture to my skin as I'm quite lazy when it comes to using body creams. This has been launched alongside a hand cream, shower gel, body lotion and multiple other products designed to comfort and soften dry, itchy skin. I've smelt the range and it's gorgeous.

The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask - £15
I've heard quite a few people say that this is really similar to the Glam Glow Supermud Clearing Treatment which has made me want to try it even more. I'm a sucker for anything that claims to purify or add glow so I'm really looking forward to trying this and seeing how the two compare.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed - Prismatic Amethyst - £32
This highlighter only came out a week ago and it's already on my wishlist. With hints of gold, violet and rose pearls, this is sure to have me glowing like a unicorn.

CHANEL Coco Mademoiselle Eau De Parfum Spray 50ml - £74
I'm not normally a big fan of CHANEL scents as most of them are too strong for me but Coco Mademoiselle is a different matter. As well as being lighter, sweeter and fresher than the majority of CHANEL perfumes, this scent will forever remind me of my mom. She had a bottle in her cupboard which was only used for special occasions but whenever it made an appearance I would stand next to her and inhale the intoxicating aroma. Having a bottle of this on my vanity would be amazing.

May Lindstrom The Blue Cocoon Beauty Balm - £174
I seriously doubt whether I'll ever purchase this product but hey, that's what wishlists are for. Packed with moisturising oils and Blue Tansy, this oily balm is designed to soften, soothe and calm stressed skin. It sounds amazing and people seem to adore it but I don't think I'm ready to spend the best part of £200 on what is essentially a blue oil.

OUAI Clean Shampoo - £22
This is another brand that has made it's way onto my list because of their constant positive reviews. There's a few things that I want to try from their range but the item that really peaked my interested was their detoxifying shampoo. My hair is fine and straight so it doesn't take long for it to get greasy but most shampoos leave my roots feeling weighed down. Cleansing shampoos are amazing for removing gunk and build up and are great to have on stand by when you feel like you need a deep clean.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream - £70
Even though I'm not a big CT fan (cosmetics wise, not the person), I always find myself giving this a swatch whenever I see it in store. It's a moisturiser/primer hybrid that uses Rose, Hyaluronic Acid and Peptides to plump and hydrate the skin. I would use something like this for my makeup prep rather than part of my skincare routine but either way, this sounds amazing.

Zoeva Matte Eyeshadow Palette - £17.50
Most of you will know I don't tend to wear much eyeshadow but I have a real soft spot for Zoeva palettes. It's 100% matte and has everything you could need to do a warm toned eye look. It's like a dream come true!

Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator - £21
Funny story, just after I started writing this blog post my Husband came up to me and told me he'd ordered the Limited Edition Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator Palette from Beauty Bay because of how much I've wanted to try these highlighters. So now thanks to him. I can officially tick them off the wishlist. Yay!

What's on your Spring wishlist?

Yay!

I can't tell you how relieved I am that Spring is right around the corner. I love the whole Christmas, cosy night in vibe that Winter brings but now I'm ready for sunshine and warmth. Throughout February I kept my beauty routine really simple and fuss free so today's post is going be a short one...
Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish - Sweet Orange & Clove
I never imagined I would be such a big LE fan but here I am with 2, 150ml bottles standing in my cupboard. After falling in love with the original, I just had to try one of her limited editions and I soon found my way to her Christmas scent, Sweet Orange & Clove. The formula is still creamy and glorious, just with a different scent. It's warming and comforting and I love using it in the evenings to really pamper my skin. Even though this is great at removing makeup, I like to use it to give my skin a really good clean.

Balance Me Radiance Face Mask
This mask came free with a magazine and I'm so glad I tried it as it's one of the best things I've found for brightening and polishing my skin. Designed for all skin types, this wonderful cream gently exfoliates the skin with Ground Walnut Spheres and Fruit Acids whilst Kaolin Clay draws out impurities. I only need to leave this on for about 5-10 minutes and my skin looks clear and radiant. It smells amazing too! Score!

Nuxe Reve De Miel Nourishing Hand and Nail Cream
I've been on a bit of a Nuxe hype recently and I don't think it's going to stop any time soon. As you have all probably seen from some of my pictures, my hands aren't in the best condition right now. Partially because I'm lazy but also because I suffer with eczema. Most hand creams I've tried have felt too greasy and made the eczema feel worse but this one hasn't done that at all. My dry patches are a lot less sore and my hands feel and look a lot healthier.

NYX Tinted Brow Mascara - Brunette
After having a long love affair with my Eyeko Brow Gel I've recently switched back to this highstreet gem. It always deposits just the right amount of colour without making my brows crunchy or patchy. The wand is such a good size for filling in any part of the brow without the risk of getting it all over your face. This keeps my brows looking perfectly groomed all day long.

Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer - 01 Ivory
No matter how hard I try to use other concealers I always find myself coming back to this one. As well as being a great colour match for my fair skin, it does an amazing job at covering my dark circles. I hate concealers that look dry or cakey but this one has a lovely glowy finish. This concealer paired with a damp Miracle Complexion Sponge is sheer perfection.

Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors
These perfectors have become my secret to fuller looking lips. Whilst my natural lip shape can't be modified too much as it will start to look really obvious, the buttery shine of these perfectors help to give me plump, pouty lips in no time.
