I'm really enjoying doing these tag posts. Sometimes it's nice to sit down and just write without having to give the facts and be so precise. This time I was tagged by the beautiful Ash from MS_TANTRUM to write my version of 'The Beauty Lover Tag'. I loved her post, and if you'd like to read it too, click here

If you could have anyone in the world do your Makeup, who would it be?
Lisa Eldridge. If ever the opportunity came along for Lisa to do my makeup, it would be the highlight in my beauty life! The way she can transform a face but make it still look like you is just incredible. I'm currently reading her book Face Paint: The Story Of Makeup and I absolutely love it. If she did my makeup I know she would make me feel a mill... ten million dollars!

What's your top Makeup tip?
I agree with Ash here, to have good makeup you need to have good skin. Now I'm not saying your makeup will be horrible if you have blemishes or imperfections, but a good skincare routine will make your skin look and feel better... resulting in flawless makeup! Clean, smooth, moisturised skin beats any product!
I also think blending is key to good makeup. Wether it's foundation, brows, eyeshadow, it doesn't matter, if there are harsh edges or obvious patches it just ruins the overall effect.

What one skincare item could you not live without?
Cleanser is absolutely the most important skincare product to me. If I can't thoroughly clean my skin every morning and night, then what's the point in wearing makeup? My skin is currently at it's best because of my dedication to cleansing. My current top three cleansers of choice are the Sarah Chapman Skinesis Ultimate Cleanse, Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm and Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm

What are you worst at when it comes to applying Makeup?
My obsession with blending means sometimes my contour eventually disappears into my foundation, or eyeshadow gets blended to nothing! I just can't stand harsh makeup.
Do you do this too?

What's your biggest pet peeve about Makeup?
As a self proclaimed eyebrow princess, my biggest pet peeve is the sharpie brow. Even though the trend is slowly dying there's still a lot of people who make their brows super dark, thick and very un- natural. If that's the look you're going for then please carry on, but personally I think, if you don't have naturally thick, dark brows then go with what you do have! Black, squared brows do not suit any face shape or skin tone!

What's your favourite Makeup era?
The 60s was my favourite time for makeup. The heavy eyes, flawless skin and nude lips speak to me like no other trend. Priscilla Presley is the main reason for my choice, her 60s makeup and style was just captivating. Something about her really reminds me of myself (not looks wise), especially in the pictures of her and Elvis on their wedding day... Anyway, that's a bit off topic. Haha!

What's your Guilty Pleasure product?
My Jo Malone fragrances are some of my most expensive purchases but they are worth every single penny. Nothing compares  to the formula, lasting power, and scents. English Pear and Freesia is my current fave! I'm eyeing up the new limited edition Nashi Blossom Cologne...

What's your underdog product?
Personally I think the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush is still massively under rated! I use it for almost everything, primer, foundation, highlight/contour, blush even powder. It always leaves my base looking flawless. Literally all you need in a face brush.

What's your favourite Makeup product of 2015?
The Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz was my ultimate find in 2015. It has changed my brow routine forever. I haven't used a powder to fill in my brows since!

I really hope you enjoyed this post, and I tag YOU! I would love to read about your tips, tricks and must haves so don't forget to tell me if you do the tag!

Before we get into the tag, I have to thank Kiran from ALITTLEKIRAN for tagging me to do this post. I don't normally do tags, mostly because I think my answers will be quite boring compared to others, but I didn't want to let Kiran down! I loved Kiran's post and if you'd like to read about her daily beauty routine click here - http://www.alittlekiran.co.uk/2016/04/the-am-pm-routine-tag-alittlekiran_20.html

AM

What is your morning beauty routine?
My first step is to have a shower. Clean body = clean mind! Then I moisturise with L'occitane Almond Milk Veil, cleanse my face with Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel and brush my teeth with the Oral B 3D White Luxe Perfection Toothpaste. I then complete my skincare routine and put on some makeup if I can be bothered.

What is for breakfast?
I know you're supposed to eat breakfast every day without fail, but sometimes I wake up and just don't feel hungry. If I do fancy something it tends to be proper porridge/oatmeal with honey and berries or boiled egg and toast. I like to have a hot drink as well, especially if I didn't eat.

Tea or Coffee?
Both! Picking just one would be like picking a favourite Pixiwoo sister, I just can't do it. I love tea, in the morning, at night, Indian tea, English Breakfast tea, it's just one of those things I can't be without. If you ever kindly make me a cup of tea, make sure you boil the kettle twice... I'll know if you didn't.
Some mornings I can't function without a cup of joe. I like the Nescafe Azera Americano Instant Coffee. I also adore Turkish coffee in the evenings. I'm not big on cappuccinos and espressos but I do have a soft spot for milky lattes... Mmm

How long does it take you to get out of the door?
If we're talking start to finish (shower, skincare, makeup) an hour, hour and a half? I know, I know, thats really bad, but I hate feeling rushed when I'm getting ready. I end up sweating my makeup off and getting very annoyed. Not a pretty sight.
If it's past midday and I'm just popping out, I can be ready in 10 minutes.

What is your go-to makeup look on a fuss free morning?
I try to stick to 3 easy steps. My first and main priority is to even out my skin and get it looking healthy and glowy. For this, I swear by the Estee Lauder Enlighten EE Cream. Then I'll brush a small amount of tinted brow gel through the girls. The one I've been loving recently is the NYX Tinted Brow Mascara - Brunette. Lastly I apply some kind of lip product, it might be a tinted lip balm or if I'm feeling sassy, a liquid lipstick.

PM

What is your evening beauty routine?
On an average evening, I will double cleanse with something like Sarah Chapman Skinesis Ultimate Cleanse (click here for full review) or Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm. Then I carry on with an acid toner, hydrating spritz, eye cream, serum and moisturiser/overnight mask. Yep, that's an average night for me.

Snack time! What's in the bowl?
This might be a bit of an unexpected answer, but my favourite thing to snack on recently is Cacik and Pitta Bread. I tend to fancy savoury over sweet and this hits the spot! For those wondering, Cacik is a Turkish dip made with yoghurt, mint, garlic and cucumber. Homemade or shop bought, you just can't beat it.

How do you wind down/prep for bed?
I'll finish my hot chocolate, brush my teeth and apply some hand cream. Just before I get into bed I like to spray my pillow with Caudalie Beauty Elixir. It adds that extra touch of relaxation and the scent really calms me. Then I set my alarm, get comfy with Hubby and watch some Family Guy and American Dad.

Cosy up! What are you wearing to sleep?
Plain white t-shirt and soft cotton pyjama bottoms/shorts.

What are some of the things you must do before hitting the hay?
I always double check that I've set my alarm and I'll always tell Hubby I love him before I turn over.

I would love to know what your AM/PM beauty routine is, so please feel free to do this tag and let me know you've done it so I can have a read! Thanks so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed learning a bit more about me and my habits.

Trying new skincare is like a drug to me. It doesn't matter what it is, there's just something I really enjoy about finding a new product that can further improve my skin. Like Emma Hardie, Sunday Riley and May Lindstrom, Sarah Chapman is one of those names you will undoubtedly hear throughout your beauty life. The brand oozes luxury and everything from the packaging to ingredients are high quality. Of course my first purchase was the 'Ultimate Cleanse' and I can safely say it's my new favourite cleanser. Well it must be if I've used it 6/7 days for 3 weeks! Hope you enjoy the review!

The cleanser comes in a tall plastic bottle with an airless pump and plastic cap. It feels and looks very luxurious. Not great for travel,
(they do a smaller size which is perfect for travel)
Price - £40 for 100ml
Texture - Balm to oil to milk
Finish - Thoroughly clean, glowing, refreshed skin

What they say
Intelligent, luxurious anti-ageing balm to milk cleanser enriched with collagen stimulating peptides, vitamin A, potent antioxidants & omega rich oils. Deeply cleans, softens, soothes & brightens, removing make-up.

Key ingredients
Vitamin A - Anti-ageing, skin normalising vitamin that plays an essential role in counteracting sun damage and has a rejuvenating effect.
Vitamin E - Anti-oxidant that protects the skin from free radical damage. Helps prevent scar damage and can be reactivated by vitamin C.
Dermaxyl Peptide - Dermaxyl (palmitoyl oligopeptide) peptide is one of the most potent anti-ageing ingredients available. It is a group of amino acids found in the body that rehydrate the skin and help repair damage to the DNA of the cell resulting in smoother, plumper skin.
Rosehip Oil - Rich in essential fatty acids that nourish and protect the skin whilst reducing scars and fine lines.

What is it
This is an ultra luxurious cleansing balm that removes all dirt, makeup and build up whilst replenishing the skin leaving it soft, supple and glowing. It has a very similar scent to the EH moringa balm (orange and herbal). Suitable for all skin types.

(balm)

(oil)

(milk)

How I use it
I use 1-2 pumps depending on time of day and massage the cleanser into the skin focusing on my nose, hair line and neck. It works perfectly for facial massage. You can use it AM/PM, I love it for both. It will definitely remove all makeup but to me it's too luxurious and expensive for that! The balm melts into an oil and then into a milk if you add water. I always remove my product in the oily stage with a hot flannel, but when I have emulsified to a milk it was lovely and creamy. My skin looks incredible afterwards, so glowy and fresh, almost like new skin.

Pros
- Good amount of product for price
- Lovely packaging
- Nice, hygienic pump
- Relaxing scent
- Balm - oil - milk
- Leaves skin super clean without being stripped
- Hydrating, moisturising and rich
- Skin is glowing and fresh

Cons
- None!

Summary
This is another of one those endings where I can't say much else other than try it! There's a reason Sarah Chapman is London's most sought after facialist. Her hard work and true expertise really shows in her skincare and I cannot wait to try her other Skinesis items! Thank you so much for reading.

I'm starting to fall back in love with powder highlighters. Most of the time I'd use something more creamy in texture but sometimes it doesn't give that POW effect that I'm looking for. A few weeks ago, hubby and I went on a date night and I used Mary Lou Manizer and forgot how intense but beautiful it is. Since then, I've been on the hunt for new highlighters and I saw this one from UD in Debenhams last week. There are 3 highlighters in the range. Before we get into the review, I just want to say how glad I am that they have created three quite different and universal shades for all skin tones. I purchased shade - Sin.

The highlighter comes in a small plastic compact with a metallic finish. The UD on the cover is a fishnet design. (same as their afterglow blushes)
Price - £19 for 6.8g
Texture - Smooth, creamy powder
Finish - Intense, fine highlight

What they say
Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Highlighter isn’t your average highlighter; Urban Decay took the time to finely mill the powder until it was just right. The result: a lightweight (yet luxurious) feel and a super-soft, creamy texture.

Key Claims
- Creamy texture
- Finely milled
- Lightweight
- Buildable
- Not dusty or powdery

What is it
This is a gorgeous highlighting powder that applies easily and doesn't look chunky or patchy. It has a very smooth, buttery texture that glides over the skin. This is a more vanilla, golden, yellow tone  - similar to Mary Lou Manizer. It looks beautiful on the cheekbones, cupids bow or just anywhere you want to add light. You can apply it sheer or build the intensity by applying more. It has no scent. Suitable for all skin types and most skin tones.

Pros
- Nice champagne shade
- Great for most skin tones
- Lasts all day
- Buttery texture
- Finely milled and not chunky
- Compact packaging
- A little goes a long way

Cons
- None

Summary
This is a beautiful buildable highlighter which gives you that lit from within glow. It sits nicely on the skin and lasts all day, I tend to wear makeup for roughly 6-8 hours. It's a really good solid highlighter that you can use day or night and adjust how intense you want it. They also have 'Fireball' which is more bronzey and 'Aura' which is more pink, so anyone can find a good colour for them. I would definitely recommend having a play with them at your local UD counter! Thanks so much for reading!

This was a huge Viviannadoesmakeup inspired purchase. I'd already heard a lot about it, but when Anna explained where you can get it in the UK for a much cheaper price, I caved and bought it. It's pretty much all you would ever need in a base product. With a high SPF, full coverage and a glowy finish, what more could you ask for? I know a few people who are still contemplating trying it and I hope the review helps make up your mind.
I purchased it from -  https://www.beautylish.com/s/it-cosmetics-your-skin-but-better-cc-cream-with-spf-50-fair
It works out much cheaper in pounds to buy it from Beautylish and the delivery time is amazing too!

The CC cream comes in a plastic squeezy tube with a pump and cap. Great for travelling. Very lightweight.
Price - $38 or £26.91 for 32ml
Texture - Medium cream
Finish - Flawless, glowing skin

What they say
This highly pigmented multi-tasking beauty miracle truly covers everything, will not crease or crack in fine lines, and gives you a healthy, Your Skin But Better glow. Paraben-free and SPF 50+ UVA/UVB Broad Spectrum, Physical Only, Non-Chemical Sunscreen.

Key Claims
- SPF 50
- Both UVA/UVB protection
- Physical only sunscreen
- Full coverage
- Hydrating Serum
- Infused with peptides, Vitamin A,B,C,E and hyaluronic acid

What is it
This CC cream provides full coverage without being heavy or obvious on the skin. It evens out the skin tone, provides high SPF and gives an amazing glow. It gives a beautiful finish and lasts all day. The texture is creamy and blend-able. It has a slight orangey scent. Suitable for all skin types.

How I use it
After moisturising, I usually start with a 20p size amount and blend it over the face with my fingers or a buffing brush. It covers discolouration and blemishes nicely without clinging to dry patches. Once I've done one layer, I'll add a bit more in certain areas if I need too or just go in with concealer. It feels really nourishing and smoothing on the skin which I love! It leaves me looking dewy and perfected. Most of the time I'll set it lightly and it lasts a good 6-7 hours on me. Make sure you double cleanse thoroughly to remove it.

Pros
- Creamy texture
- Light scent
- Convenient packaging
- A little goes a long way
Beautiful skin like finish
- Dewy effect
- SPF 50

Cons
None

Summary
You need this CC cream in your life! It's the perfect base product. Light texture, full coverage, good sun protection and a glowy finish. There's literally nothing else to say about it, apart from I love it and can't be without it now. Thank you for reading!

I really like Sanctuary Spa, their cleansing balm, thermal detox mask and radiance exfoliator are some of my favourite picks. This product was a gift from my beautiful best friend, Danielle... thanks girl! The fact that it's a warming cleanser for purifying really appealed to me. The only other purifying cleanser I have is the 'Glow Mud Cleanser' from Pixi, but that one is more clay based. When I tested this cleanser I was quite surprised by the texture and formula, in a good way though. I haven't tried anything like it before so I thought it deserved a review. Hope you enjoy.

The cleanser comes in a tall slim bottle with a flip cap. I quite like the packaging colours. Ok for travel.
Price - £9 for 100ml
Texture - Thick, oily gel
Finish - Purified, clean skin

What they say
Intensely purifying yet non-drying deep cleanse daily face wash. This gently warming face wash helps open up pores & is infused with charcoal to help draw out impurities from within the skin.

Key ingredients
Charcoal - Draws out impurities and removes excess sebum

What is it
This is the cleanser version of their 'thermal detox mask'. It's a thick charcoal wash that deeply cleanses and refreshes the skin. The texture is good for when you need something heavier than a milk to cut through grease. The scent is very off putting (strong tar/charcoal) but I just get on with it. Suitable for all skin types.

(emulsified to oil)

How I use it
I take a 10p sized amount and massage it well into the skin, across the eyes and down the neck. You can use it AM/PM but purely for skin cleansing, not makeup removal. It does have a slight warming effect but nothing too strong or uncomfortable. The texture changes from a gel to an oil and then a milk if water is added. I remove it with a hot flannel in the oily stage.
My skin is instantly refreshed but not stripped or dry. My face also looks purified and any blemishes are noticeably calmer and my pores appear smaller.

Pros
- Affordable
- Great for morning cleanse to help slough off night before
- Gel to oil texture
- A little goes a long way
- Good amount for price
- Skin looks and feels cleaner
- Slight warming effect

Cons
- Doesn't smell nice

Summary
I love the technology of this cleanser. It gives you the results of a face mask in 2 minutes. It's not something you'll use for a facial massage or to enjoy the scent but its a quick fix when you're skin looks clogged and just bit ugh. Thank you for reading!

I've been waiting for this range to launch for absolutely ages. I was getting that impatient, I started to check the Revlon stand every time I went to Boots or Superdrug. After reading Lily Pebbles' blog post (which was spot on), I was even more interested in trying them. Now that they're available in most stores and I've had chance to play with them, I thought I'd share with you my thoughts and throw in some swatches too.

Shades left to right - Seduction, Devotion, Flirtation
There are 7 shades in the range.

They come in clouded plastic tubes with a doe-foot applicator. I love the packaging, the shape is quite unique and modern. Similar to Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick.
Price - £8.99 for 5.9ml
Texture - Smooth, creamy liquid lipstick
Finish - Moisturised, full coverage

What they say
Fall in love with the Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor™ for a truly velvet matte finish. The high definition pigment and moisturising formula cushions your lips in vivid colour, promising a soft finish with maximum impact.
Due to the innovative 100% wax free gel technology of Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor™, every application of the plush velvety wand provides lightweight moisturisation with an intense and defined matte finish.

Key Claims
- Moisturising
- Lightweight
- Intense and defined matte finish
- High definition pigment
- Soft finish with maximum impact

What is it
They are essentially liquid lipsticks but one step down. (will explain) They apply smoothly without clinging to dry patches or dragging on the lips. The buttery texture helps give an even finish and makes it easy to layer the product. The scent is a mix of mango and vanilla, it's a bit fake smelling to me. Suitable for everyone.

Flirtation - Coral with a mix of orange and warm pink tones
Great for all skin tones

Seduction - Medium brown nude with pink tones
Great for fair, light and medium skin tones - my favourite shade for everyday

Devotion - Warm bright pink
Great for all skin tones

Pros
- Creamy formula
- Great colour pay-off
- Cute packaging
- Affordable
- Good shade range (could still be bigger)

Cons
- Does not dry matte
- Takes a good 15 minutes or so to fully set
- Doesn't last very long (a few hours tops)

Summary
My relationship with these lipsticks is very love and hate. The shades and formula really impressed me, but the finish and staying power let me down. The main point of the range is to provide a matte finish which they failed to do. Unfortunately the advertising was a bit misleading in my opinion, but I still really enjoy them. If you're not bothered about the staying power and you don't mind touching up throughout the day, then I definitely recommend checking them out.

Thank you for reading!
