I mentioned in a recent blog post that I was looking to try some new makeup products from certain brands and one of them was Bobbi Brown. A few weeks ago I decided to pay a visit to my local store which actually worked out pretty well for me as they were running a 20% off deal on any item you purchased that day. I ended up walking away with the Vitamin Enriched Face Base which is raved about by everyone and is something that I've wanted to try for years!
It retails at £43 for 50ml which is pretty pricey for a primer but I definitely think it's worth considering if you're into high-end products. The packaging is very luxurious and it looks gorgeous on my desk and in my makeup bag.
When I first heard about this product I wasn't sure how best to use it but I think it depends on your skin type. If you're fairly oily you can use this as a moisturiser to hydrate the skin and help your makeup last longer or if you have a drier skin, it works perfectly as a pre-foundation base. It has a rich, creamy texture but it doesn't feel heavy or clogging which I love. It's formulated with Shea Butter to moisturise and soothe, Vitamins B, C and E and has a lovely fresh/fruity scent. After applying my skincare routine I massage a 5p sized amount into my face focusing on the dry areas such as my forehead and around my nose. It absorbs like a dream and it leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft and smooth. Foundation sits beautifully on top of this and it also helps it last a lot longer and stops it going patchy throughout the day.
I'm so glad I finally decided to try this as it's exactly what my dry skin needs right now! If your foundation isn't sitting perfectly or you're in the market for a new primer, I would highly recommend checking this out!
