When it comes to my base I usually like things to be quite fresh and dewy but because of my combination skin this can quickly turn into a greasy mess if I don't set it with some kind of powder. The tricky thing with most setting powders is that they're designed to take all of the shine out of the face which can actually make the skin look dry and cakey. Not a good look...
I know this is a problem for a lot of people so today I thought I would talk about some of my favourite powders that don't make me look like a raisin.
Kiko Milano Radiant Fusion Baked Powder - £14.90
I know I've talked about this product before but I just have to give it a quick mention. If you're looking for a powder that's going to give you a bit of coverage, set your makeup and add a bit of sheen, then this is the one for you. The texture is really smooth and it blends beautifully no matter how you apply it. It's also great for touching up throughout the day as it doesn't sit on the skin or look heavy. It comes in a wide range of shades and is great for all skin types. I love the packaging too!

Maybelline Fit Me Pressed Powder - £5.99
This is a bit more mattifying than the other two but definitely still carries on the theme of being lightweight and natural looking. If my t-zone is starting to look particularly shiny or I want to set underneath my eyes this tends to be what I reach for. This is a great budget option!

bareMinerals Invisible Light Translucent Powder Duo - £28
The final offering is this duo from bareMinerals. It comes with a matte powder which sets the face ever so slightly and a glow powder to add a undetectable sheen. Both are designed to blur imperfections and give the skin a natural flawless finish. The product only comes in one shade but it's designed to work on all skin tones. It is a little pricey but if you don't need a lot of coverage and you just want something that's going to enhance your skin rather than mask it, you need to give this a go!
