If you're a regular reader of my blog you probably would have already seen this product in my 'What I Got For Christmas 2016' blog post which I posted a couple weeks back. This GlamGlow face mask was a gift from my best friend and I can't thank her enough for getting me such an awesome present! I constantly see this mask being used by YouTubers, fellow beauty bloggers and even big name celebs. Originating from Hollywood, all of the GlamGlow masks are designed to give you clear, bright, camera ready skin. The range has a multitude of masks catering for all different skin types but the one I'm reviewing today is specifically aimed at detoxifying and clarifying the skin. I've been testing it out ever since I got it and I'm very quickly becoming obsessed with it...
The mask comes in a small, heavy, metal jar. Ok for travel.

Key ingredients
Glycolic Acid - Weakens the bonds holding dead skin cells together
Salicylic Acid - Unclogs pores
Lactic Acid - Exfoliates the skin, reducing visible signs of ageing
Kaolin - Draws out impurities
Cucumber Extract - Soothes and calms irritation

What is it
This is a clay mask that helps to detoxify and unclog pores whilst the Alpha Hydroxy Acids gently exfoliate, revealing a bright, smooth complexion. It has a slight minty/liquorice scent which I personally really like. Suitable all skin types except sensitive.
How I use it
After cleansing, I apply a semi thick layer to the face avoiding the eyes. It starts to dry quite quickly so it doesn't need to be left on for too long. About 15-20 minutes is enough. You can use this AM or PM but you need to follow up with SPF. I like to use a bit of warm water to emulsify the mask which makes it come off really easily with a flannel. After using the mask my skin looks and feels more refined and my pores are pretty much non-existent. It doesn't dry out the skin or leave it feeling tight which is fab as a lot of clay masks can leave my skin feeling like a prune. I would only use this 2 or 3 times a week as it's quite a strong mask and a little goes a long way.

Pros
- Nice packaging
- Thin texture (easy to apply)
- Dries quickly
- A little goes a long way
- Minty scent
- Leaves skin clear and glowy
- Doesn't dry out skin
- Chemically exfoliates
- Easy to remove

Cons
- Expensive
- Strong scent
- Not suitable for those with sensitive skin

Summary
This is such a good mask to use when you're skin is breaking out and your pores are clogging like there's no tomorrow. It could even be used a spot treatment. Even though it's got a hefty price tag, I personally think it's one of the best face masks out there, and I've tried quite a few! If you've been considering trying it, I'd say go for it!
