After loving the Gerard Cosmetics lip glosses, I decided to try a couple of the lip sticks. I've wanted to order them for a long time but never got round to it. Recently I met up with my friend and she informed me there is a shop that sells Gerard Cosmetics very close to us. As soon as I heard that, we both rushed to find the shop.
The shop is called Cocktail Cosmetics and it is located at The Custard Factory in Birmingham. They also have a website. www.cocktailcosmetics.co.uk Check the webiste for information on how to get there. It is a beautiful little shop and they sell a range of brands including, Sigma Beauty, Lime Crime, NYX Cosmetics and more. I'll now get onto the review of the lipsticks.

I love the gold packaging, I think it stands out against other lipsticks because it is different and has a more luxurious feel to it.
Individual price - £12.50
Texture- Creamy
Finish- Matte

The first lipstick I chose is called Buttercup. This is from the Jaclyn Hill Collection and I absolutely love it! It's a beautiful baby pink and will suit so many skin tones. On a fairer skin it will look more intense and on a darker skin more nude. It applies creamy and smooth and leaves a soft matt finish but is not drying. You can get a wash of colour or a more intense colour depending on how you apply it.

Swatched on fair skin in natural light.
(excuse my dry lips and really long labret bar)

The second lipstick I picked up is called 1995 and is probably more popular than Buttercup. This is also from the Jaclyn Hill Collection and again I love it! Inspired by 90's grunge and Kylie Jenner, this lipstick combines rose, mauve and brown to create a gorgeous shade that will suit pretty much everybody.

Swatched together with flash.

When wearing these lipsticks I like to use MAC Sublime Culture Cremestick Liner. It will give more definition to buttercup but still have a soft finish. With 1995 it will intensify the colour and can give a sharp lip line for a dramatic look.

If you want to add a bit of sheen, you can pair these lipsticks with Gerard Cosmetics Buttercream lip gloss, also created by Jaclyn Hill. It pairs perfectly with Buttercream and has a gorgeous smooth creamy texture with a pretty shine.

I highly recommend these lipsticks and I can't wait to try more of them. Amazing quality, gorgeous shades and a decent price. I hope the pictures do the colours justice. Thank you so much for reading, and bravo if you made it to the end of this long post!
