Who doesn't love a good old face mask to draw out all of their impurities? I'm always cleansing and protecting my skin with oils and SPF but sometimes even after double cleansing, my pores get clogged and start to look more noticeable (which I hate). I love smearing mud/clay masks on because I just know my skin is going to be super clear and flawless afterwards. If there's one product that really changes my skin, it's a mud/clay mask.
I did a Top 3 Exfoliating Serums post some months back and it was really popular so I thought I would share with you my 3 favourites deep cleansing/pore refining face masks! I hope you enjoy!

My favourites are -

Good Things Manuka Honey Radiance Face Mask
Amount - 100ml
Price - £5.99
Texture - Soft, wet clay
Clay based

Pixi Skintreats Glow Mud Mask
Amount - 30ml
Price - £18
Texture - Soft, mousse/cream
Mud based

Estee Lauder Night Wear Plus 3 Minute Detox Mask
Amount - 75ml
Price- £32
Texture - Light liquid
Clay based

All of these masks are targeted towards detoxifying and cleansing the skin. You can apply them daily or whenever your skin is breaking out/congested.
They all have different textures but all feel soothing and comforting on the skin. The Good Things is great for any skin type, especially people just getting into face masks. Pixi Glow Mud is best for people looking to get a glow, as the name suggests, and the Estee Lauder is perfect for when you want to refresh your skin before applying makeup. They can even be used as spot treatments when you get those inflamed breakouts that need calming.
I typically leave them on for a minimum of 10 minutes and maximum of 20. Once they've worked their magic I use a bit of warm water to break them down before fully removing with a flannel/muslin/face cloth. The water helps turn the mask into more of a milk which means I don't have to tug at the skin to remove them, although these masks do come off quite easily.
My skin always looks brighter, fresher and smoother after using the masks and my pores are practically non-existent.

If you've been suffering with congestion, blackheads or break outs check these masks out.

Even though London can't make up it's mind on whether it wants to be hot or cold, Autumn has officially started which means it's time to embrace rich smokey eyes, stronger contour and dark lips. I'm not one to change my whole makeup routine just because of the season change as I tend to do what ever makeup I feel like on that day, but this year I'm going to experiment a bit more. For instance, 98% of my lipstick collection consists of nudes, slightly bright peachy shades and maybe one or two reds. This will soon be changing as I plan to stock up on some gorgeous darker toned lip products since it's the easiest and quickest way to transition your makeup from 'glowing goddess' to 'vampy vixen'. I hope you find these steps interesting/inspiring and let me know how and if you're going to switch up your look for Autumn.
Base
Before you change your primers/foundations etc, you need to check if your skin has any new concerns as you may need more hydration  and moisture and less clarifying/spot fighting skincare products. Typically most people need a richer moisturiser when Autumn and Winter come around and the Clinique HydraQuench Cream is great for adding that extra boost of hydration. The main base product I would recommend changing is your foundation. Highlighter and blusher is an optional and personal step which I always like to include but I will be changing my normal foundation to something with a higher coverage and a matte finish. The new Urban Decay All Nighter Liquid Foundation sounds like exactly what I'm looking for. Debenhams here I come!

Eyes
I like to use warm toned eyeshadows pretty much all year round but in Autumn I tend to stop using creams and switch to powders. A good old matte smokey eye with reds, oranges and rich chocolate shades just makes my heart sing, especially when paired with lots of mascara and sculpted brows. This is when I bring out my Zoeva Cocoa Blend Eyeshadow Palette because it has everything you could want in a warm toned eyeshadow palette. Sometimes I'll also use my Makeup Geek Eyeshadows in Creme Brûlée, Latte and Cocoa Bear which are great for travelling. I like to add quite a bit of mascara to contrast well against all the eyeshadow and for my brows I'll use something heavier like a pomade. The Freedom Brow Pomade - Medium Brown is amazing and affordable!

Lips
The main thing I notice everyone trying to achieve is those perfect sculpted, deep berry - almost black lips. Whilst this is a gorgeous look for the runway it's not something I'd wear on a daily basis. Since 2016 was the year of liquid lipstick, this is the best time to start wearing those super matte brown, 90s-esque lip colours. My favourite is the NYX Lip Lingerie - Bedroom Flirt which sets to a mauve-y brown colour. In fact, the Lip Lingerie range in general has a lot of fab Autumn colours for all skin tones!

These are just a few helpful tips I thought I'd share with you and by no means do you have to do all of these steps to look fall appropriate.
I really hope you enjoyed the post and don't forget to tell me what your go-to Autumn makeup items are!

Now you may not believe this, but I haven't gone beauty shopping in quite a while. Hubby and I have our honeymoon coming up soon which means we've been focusing our recent shopping trips on clothing, suncream and all things beach related. Yesterday whilst shopping I noticed KIKO were having a sale, so of course I went in for a browse almost as a treat. I was actually quite impressed with the selection as normally it's just a few lipsticks and leftover Christmas products. I found three gorgeous products which I thought we're worth sharing with you while they're still on offer. I hope you enjoy!

Radiant Fusion Baked Powder - 01
I really like the look of this powder. Firstly the packaging is gorgeous and the product in general has a Hourglass Ambient Lighting vibe which I couldn't ignore. It also comes in a matte finish but of course I got the radiant one. I swatched the powder and it had a very smooth texture which didn't look chalky or powdery. It's quite similar to something like MAC Mineralize Skin Finish which is a light coverage, radiant face powder. For £5.90 I couldn't resist and I would highly recommend you check them out in store before they sell out. Also the shade range is massive so there should be something for everyone!

Cream Crush Lasting Colour Eyeshadow - 05
If you've been reading my blog/following me on Instagram for a while you'll know I'm a big fan of these cream eyeshadows. They're very similar to the Maybelline Colour Tattoos but slightly more pigmented and with a softer texture. I apply it with a synthetic brush and layer it to get different coverages. I already have 3 but this shade had to be mine. It's a beautiful warm, peachy, champagne tone with shimmer which is just beautiful. The main reason I picked it up is because I thought it would compliment a tan really well. I'll be taking it abroad with me and hopefully this paired with bb cream, mascara, highlighter and lip balm will get me looking like a beach goddess. I said hopefully...

Smart Eye Pencil - 800
Lastly I bought this eyeliner pencil which is a stunning champagne shade (very similar to the eyeshadow). Again I thought this would compliment a tan and also look beautiful on the waterline instead of a white or nude toned pencil. It has a really nice creamy texture and for £1.90 you can't go wrong.

Have you picked up any KIKO products recently? What should I try next time?

Dark circles are one of the biggest skin complaints in the industry and it doesn't matter how old you are, what colour your skin is, we all get them and we all hate them. With my fair complexion it's very easy to notice the darkness under my eyes and it almost gives me an Edward Scissorhands vibe. For a long time now, I've been trying extra hard to minimise their appearance and to find something that helps reduce them in a short amount of time. As well as using eye creams and getting a good amount of sleep, I've found something that almost instantly fades my dark circles. Be warned, it's nothing revolutionary, but it does work and it couldn't be easier.

I have found that drinking at least one cup a day of water with lemon reduces about 70% of the darkness and stops them looking so blue/purple. I first started drinking lemon water when I read Jessica Sepel's book 'The Healthy Life' after she explained it helps with digestion and how it makes a nice change from tea in the morning. I started adding fresh lemon juice to boiled water and would drink it throughout the morning. Eventually I started using cold water and drunk it throughout the day instead of my usual plain water. A week or so after trying it I realised one day whilst cleansing that my under eyes we're dramatically lighter and healthier looking. My skin had also improved and was clearer, brighter and more hydrated.
Lemon is packed with Vitamin C, minerals and anti-oxidants which all work great at protecting and nourishing the skin, inside and out. It's one of those amazing foods like coconuts where they just do so much for the skin and body.
If you haven't tried lemon water before, I would highly recommend trying its you may notice a big difference in your skin. I'm going to start doing it again because my dark circles are so bad at the moment, I have to use two concealers to hide them!

Do you have a trick for getting rid of dark circles? Let me know if you try this and see a change!

I hope August was as fun for all of you as it was for me. I know I spent a lot of time complaining about the heat but I was loving it really. I love the longer days and lighter skies and August seemed to be when the heat really hit London. On top of that, I celebrated my 19th birthday on the 6th which was amazing. I got to catch up with family and friends who I hadn't seen for a long time (I understand the pain of living in a different city from your loved ones). Anyway, I know I'm a bit late with the favourites post but I know you guys don't mind!

Skin & Body

The Body Shop Skin Defence Multi Protection Essence SPF 50
We all know how important it is to wear SPF daily, especially in the 30+ degree heat. This moisturiser/SPF from The Body Shop is great for very hot weather and I'll definitely be taking it on holiday with me very soon. It has a nice light texture that doesn't feel sticky or clogging and it also blends completely into the skin leaving no white cast. The only downside is that it does contain alcohol denat but personally I don't mind that. If you're looking for a new SPF, check this out.

Soap and Glory Flake Away Body Scrub
I love this body scrub. It has the typical S&G scent which is very sweet and the particles are just the right size to exfoliate without scratching the skin. I've mainly been using it on my upper arms where I have Keratosis Pilaris and it works great at treating it.

Carex Fun Edition Bubblegum Hand Wash
This a bit of a random one but I had to include it because I think this was my favourite, favourite of August! I know, how sad...
After seeing this in Boots for so long and on @poofiepeej's instagram, I decided to try it and I instantly loved it. The scent is bloody amazing and it lingers nicely afterwards so your hands smell nice and sweet. I've even started washing my brushes with it and it works so well! Such a simple product but I love it and we already have backups. #obsessed

Makeup

Makeup Revolution Blush - Treat
I picked this up a while ago and completely forgot about it but I recently dug it out because I thought it would be the perfect summer shade, and I was right! It's a powder but the texture is so smooth and the pigmentation is amazing. It's a warm peachy/orange which is so flattering on the skin. I think it could work on pretty much everyone except those with really deep skin tones. The best part is it's only £1!

Pixi H20 SkinTint Tinted Face Gel - Cream
I used this product almost every time I did my makeup throughout August. Applied with a damp sponge, it gives the most beautiful natural finish to the skin whilst still giving a good medium coverage. It leaves my skin looking healthy and perfected and it's become a firm staple in my routine.

Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer
Primers are a personal thing and although I have a lot of them, I don't tend to use them very often. This beauty primer has been used used quite a few times though. It's a peachy/champagne shade with a gorgeous golden sheen and it makes the skin so radiant. It won't do much to help with the longevity of your foundation but will give you a nice healthy glow.

Clinique Pop Lip Colour and Primer - Melon Pop
Summer is normally when I switch up my lip products and I constantly went back to this lipstick. It's a gorgeous peachy shade and it looks great paired with the Makeup Revolution blush! It applies smoothly and has a satin finish which is very easy to maintain. A fab everyday lipstick.

Accessories

Quay Australia Flagship Aviator Sunglasses
These sunglasses make me feel sassy AF. I bought them from ASOS for £15 but I think they're currently out of stock. They're a classic aviator shape with a silver lens and they are seriously beautiful. They feel high quality and they offer full sun protection which is the most important thing. QA have aviators in other colours and I'd highly recommend checking them out.

I've been raving about these sheet masks on Instagram for a little while now. I just love em'. Everything from the price to the results just makes me happy. Normally I'm not a big Garnier skincare fan although I do love their salicylic acid toner. This mask however is totally different to other Garnier products. It's better quality even though it's cheap as chips, the packaging is more appealing and most importantly, I can see and feel a noticeable difference. In case you couldn't tell, I've found my new favourite face mask!

The sheet mask comes in a foiled packet. Great for travel.
Price - £1.49 for one
Texture - Sheet mask saturated in serum
Finish - Plump, hydrated, glowing skin

What they say
Super-hydrating revitalising mask for dehydrated skin. Intensely rehydrates skin, reduces the look of fine lines, and revives radiance. Enriched with pomegranate extract, hyaluronic acid, and plant serum.

Key ingredients
Pomegranate Extract - Packed with vitamins and anti-oxidants and penetrates deeply into the skin
Hyaluronic Acid - Binds moisture to the skin, increasing hydration and promoting plumpness
Plant Serum

What is it
This is an amazing tissue/sheet mask which floods the skin with moisture and hydration after just one use. It's well saturated so you definitely get good value for money. It leaves the skin looking brighter, firmer, more radiant and well moisturised. It has a fresh scent. Suitable for all skin types.

How I use it
The mask comes with a blue protector which I discard and then I fit the sheet to my face and leave it to do it's thing for about 15-20 minutes or until it's dry. You can use this mask AM or PM. After using the mask I instantly see a difference in my skin. It just looks healthier and more perky. My forehead looks blurred and super smooth and overall my skin is more radiant. When I use it in the evening my skin looks even better the next morning and I tend to need less moisturiser. How fab is that?

Pros
- Extremely affordable
- Travel friendly
- Heavily saturated
- Fresh scent
- Noticeable difference after one use
- Hydrates and moisturises
- Fun to use

Cons
- It does contain alcohol but it is not drying at all

Summary
I can't recommend this mask enough. It has become a staple in my collection and I now have about 4 ready to be used when I need hydration and glow, which is pretty much all the time! This mask is  gentle and perfect for everyone. Give it a go, it's only £1.50!

Summary
I can't recommend this mask enough. It has become a staple in my collection and I now have about 4 ready to be used when I need hydration and glow, which is pretty much all the time! This mask is  gentle and perfect for everyone. Give it a go, it's only £1.50!
