I love me a good tinted moisturiser. They have the nicest texture when it comes to base products. I hate thick gloopy formulas sitting on my skin so I find them perfect all year round. Complexion rescue is very popular in the blogger sphere and for good reason. I've had it for a couple of months now and I'm hooked. If you're looking for something light, breathable and glowy, look no further.
The product comes in a hand sized squeezy tube with a twist cap.
Great for travel.
Price - £27 for 35ml
Texture - Gel-cream
Finish - Glowy, even skin
Shade - Opal 01

What they say
A multi-tasking genius that combines skincare benefits and naturally radiant coverage in one.

Key claims
215% increase in skin hydration after one week
Natural coverage
Radiant finish
Formulated with marine botanicals, coconut and glycerin
SPF 30 PA+++

What is it
This is a beautiful tinted moisturiser that offers a light-medium coverage with a hydrated, natural finish. The texture blends effortlessly into the skin forgiving any dry patches or imperfections. Suitable for all skin types.

How I use it
I start with a 20p size amount and blend it into the skin using my fingers or miracle complexion sponge. I find brushes take up to much of the product. It instantly adds moisture and hydration to the skin and has a slight cooling effect. The finish is very natural but still glowy and radiant. I still need concealer under my eyes, around the nose and on any blemishes but my skin tone is more even. I set my face with translucent powder as I get shiny and it doesn't move all day. Definitely a nice light option on those 'bad skin' days.

Pros
- Smooth texture
- Cooling effect
- Good shade range
- Travel friendly
- SPF protection
- A little goes a long way
- Natural finish

Cons
- Expensive for what it is

Cheaper alternative
Sleek Makeup BB Cream

Summary
I love this tinted moisturiser and I think it will work for pretty much everyone. It's become my go-to on those days where I need to fix my face but only have 10 minutes to do it. Give it a swatch in store, you won't regret it.

After having a big love affair with makeup for the past couple months I've finally found some new skincare bits to try which I'm super excited about. Korean Beauty has taken over the western market since 2015 inspiring products like cushion foundations and sheet masks. The products I'm showing you today are a mixture of sheet masks and traditional cream/gels. Some of them are new launches and some are just new to me. I hope you enjoy and if you'd like to see full reviews on them, let me know!

Nugg Face Mask - Deep Cleansing/Soothing
Firstly, can we address how cute these masks are? I mean, I've never seen anything more cute in skincare! I've heard so much about Nugg and I knew I had to give them a go especially since they're only £3.50 each. In terms of packaging, they're the ultimate travel mask. You can literally fit them in your pocket if you're that short of space.
The first one I picked up is the Cucumber Extract & Jojoba Oil mask which is designed to deep clean the skin leaving it shine free and clear. It's also packed with moisturising ingredients which help keep the mask gentle and non stripping. I can tell my t-zone is going to love this one.
The second one I bought is the Shea Butter & Chamomile Extract mask which helps to calm, balance and hydrate troubled or stressed skin. This one will probably be richer in texture. Acne prone skin may not agree with the shea butter. I'm hoping this will be a nice treat for my skin when it's feeling beat up after wearing makeup or when I feel run down.

 Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask
This sheet mask looks so interesting. I love the packaging, it immediately makes me think of hydration and moisture. The packet contains one mask for £1.49, but they're currently on offer in Boots for 99p. Steal! It claims to intensely rehydrate, reduce the look of fine lines and revive radiance. It's primarily targeted for dehydrated skin but of course anyone can use it. It's packed with pomegranate extract and hyaluronic acid. The packet says to leave the mask on for 15 minutes, peel it off and then pat in the excess serum. It sounds promising and I will let you know how I get on with it.

MaskerAide Hydrating Facial Sheet Mask - Detox Diva and Pre Party Prep
As you can tell, I'm having a sheet mask moment. I'd never heard of this brand before but these masks look really fun and would be perfect for a girly night in.
The first one I was drawn to was the Detox Diva mask which claims to minimise the appearance of pores, absorb impurities and protect against free radicals. It contains Geranium Oil, Seaweed and Green Tea Leaf which are beautiful ingredients. Strawberry and Lemon Fruit Extracts help to gently exfoliate and brighten the skin while Honey and Argan Oil moisturise. It basically sounds like my dream mask. If it doesn't work, I'll be very disappointed.
The Pre Party Prep mask has similar brightening properties but it's also jammed with fruit oils to give a perfectly moisturised yet cleansed canvas for makeup. These masks are £5 each which is slightly more than the Garnier but still very affordable.

All of these masks sound amazing and I cannot wait to get them on my face. Have you tried any of them before? Do they live up to the hype?

This is one of the most exciting blog posts I've written in my year and a half of blogging. We've all seen the Instagram posts of Kylie Cosmetics products wether it be photos or mini tutorials. No matter how hard you try, you can't get away from the hype and so, I finally cracked and made an order. Before I disappoint some of you, I just want to mention that I only picked up two lip kits and one is a gift for my bestie Danielle. I ordered Candy K for myself which I have tested and Dulce K for Dani. I really hope you enjoy this post... I'm so excited!
The lip kits contain one Liquid Lipstick and one Lip Liner. They both feel very high quality and heavier than most lip products. Great for travel.
Price - £22.52 per kit
Texture - Mixed
Finish - Gorgeous pigmented lip products
Shade - Candy K - Warm pinky nude

What they say
The #KylieCosmetics LipKit is your secret weapon to create the perfect 'Kylie Lip.' Each Lip Kit comes with a Matte Liquid Lipstick and matching Lip Liner.
This ultra-long wearing lip liner has a creamy texture that glides across the lips for a very easy and comfortable application. The Lip Liner sharpens easily in most standard sized sharpeners - just make sure your sharpener is not dull!
The Liquid Matte Lipstick has high intensity pigment for an instant bold matte lip. The extremely long wearing lipstick contains moisturizing ingredients for a comfortable, emollient and silky feel that does not dry your lips out.

Key claims
- Lip liner matches liquid lipstick
- Long lasting formulas
- Intense pigmentation
- Moisturising ingredients
- Easy application
- Smooth texture

What is it
This is a duo of lip liner and liquid lipstick. Both products have high pigmentation and good colour pay off. They are both the same shade so they work beautiful when worn together.
Suitable for all skin types.

The lip liner
I really like the liner however it is very similar to others I've tried. It has a nice edge which makes it very easy to line the lips. The liner has a creamy texture and is so comfortable to wear. It's nothing revolutionary but it's a nice addition to my collection.
If you're looking for a cheaper alternative the GOSH Lip Liner in Nougat Crisp is very similar.

The liquid lipstick
This liquid lipstick is quite different from ones I already own. It has a much thinner texture, almost watery, but still opaque. It's very easy to apply to the lips and one coat is all you need. You cannot tell you're wearing lipstick, it's so lightweight and comfortable. It's definitely my favourite LL formula yet. After a couple minutes it's fully dry to a matte finish.
A cheaper alternative would be something like Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lip in Serenity or NYX Lip Lingerie in Bedroom Flirt.

Pros
- Easy application
- Good coverage
- Soft textures
- Nice pinky nude shade
- Travel friendly
- Non drying

Cons
- On my fair skin Candy K looks quite dark and I was hoping for it to be lighter
- The liquid lipstick has quite a strong sweet scent (some people may not like that)

Summary
Am I glad I purchased the lip kit? Yes. Will I purchase others? Probably not. I really like this lip kit but I'm not sure I would get much use out of the other colours. They now sell the lip liners and liquid lipsticks separately which is great for people who aren't 100% on them. I'm definitely impressed with the packaging, quality and formulas. Well done Kylie!

Those who have been following me for a while will know I love using either brushes or my fingers to apply makeup. I've been collecting brushes since I was 12 so I definitely know the difference between good and bad. There are some days however when I can't be bothered to use anymore because I've already built a 'to be washed' mountain.
For me the RT Miracle Complexion Sponge eliminates all the little problems that come with using brushes. Firstly, I love how quick it makes blending in base products. It's the only thing I've been using recently for my primer, foundation, concealer and even blush. Everything blends so well into the skin it's virtually untraceable. I also love how it magically blends any darker foundation into my skin as if it's already the right shade! Genius I tell you!
I like to use the sponge damp because it helps the products glide over the skin and it's so forgiving on dry patches, texture and imperfections. If you use it with a tinted moisturiser or light coverage foundation, your skin will look like silk. I swear it makes any foundation look beautiful and natural. The sponge is so soft, it's a dream to use.
Another thing I love about it is how easy it is to clean. I don't know about you but washing brushes has to be my number one hatred in beauty. I love having clean brushes, but the task itself bores me to death. Once I've used the sponge, I dampen it and use some Johnson's Baby Bath to thoroughly wash out all of the product. Then I just rinse out the soap, squeeze out the excess water and leave it to dry. It literally takes 2 minutes.

Have you tried using the RT sponge with your foundation? Do you prefer brushes? Let me know!

I absolutely love Summer shopping, mainly because of all the sales going on. KIKO have had offers on their products for a while now and I finally found something I wanted to try which was their Rebel Bouncy Blush in Treasure Rose. I'm a sucker for cream blushes and for £4.90, I couldn't resist. While you can still get it, I thought I would do a short review on it with some swatches. I hope you enjoy.
The blush comes in a gorgeous rose gold compact with a mirror. Great for travel.
Price - £4.90 for 5g
Texture - Soft powder/cream
Finish - Gorgeous flushed cheeks

What they say
Blush with a new sensory aspect and a satin matte finish. A lightweight powder combines with a new consistency that's extra soft, supple and highly blendable for a unique product. Surprisingly velvety and pliable to the touch, the blush goes on evenly and creates a natural matte effect.

Key claims
- Lightweight
- Satin matte finish
- Blendable
- Soft texture

What is it
This is a gorgeous velvety blush that adds colour to the face whilst applying smoothly and evenly. It has a lovely, soft 'bouncy' texture which feels so light on the skin. Suitable for all skin types.
How I use it
I apply a very small amount to the cheeks using my finger and then blend the product in with a synthetic hair brush like the Real Techniques Contour Brush. The blush is very pigmented so a little goes a long way. The shade I have is a bright rosy pink which gives a lovely 'well slept' glow to the face.

Pros
- Affordable
- Strong pigmentation
- Velvet texture
- Smooth application
- Travel friendly
- 4 shades

Cons
- None

Summary
This is the perfect Summer blush and I'm so glad I picked it up. I'm very tempted to pick up the lightest shade which is a warm, bronzy peach shade...

We've finally reached the end of July which means two things to me. One, I can finally have a shower without having to worry about sweating as soon as I come out and two, it's my birthday soon! I really enjoyed my beauty products throughout July so there's some lovely bits to show you. I hope you enjoy.
Indeed Laboratories Hydraluron Moisture Boosting Sheet Masks
I found these at the back of my skincare cupboard and decided to start using them again. They really do pack a punch. The masks are heavily soaked in hyaluronic acid which sits on the skin helping to boost moisture and hydration. I leave them on until they are pretty much dry. My skin feels extremely plump and soft afterwards. I only have one left and I'm saving it for my birthday meal to give me the perfect base for makeup.

Pixi Skintreats Nourishing Sleep Mask
Recently I've been feeling lazy and haven't been very bothered with doing a 'full on' skincare routine. This overnight mask from Pixi makes it so easy to get that nourishment without having to layer on the products. After toning I apply a small amount to my face and neck and in the morning I look fresh and perky. It will be coming with me to Birmingham for sure.

Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation
This has been my go-to foundation for the past couple of weeks. I just can't get over how it makes my skin look. I apply it with a damp Miracle Complexion Sponge and it takes me seconds, literally seconds and my base is done. It offers good medium coverage with a light, barely there look and feel. It definitely has a satin finish. If you've been looking for a good every day foundation, this is for you.

Eyeko Brow Gel
I got this as a freebie in a magazine and have been loving it ever since. It has a slight tint which helps makes the brows looks fuller and more defined. The brush head is nice and small which will work for a multitude of brow shapes. I mainly love it because it's great on those days when I need to tidy up my brows but don't have time to sculpt and fill them in. I definitely need to pick up a full size.

Seventeen Skin WOW Concealer - Fair
I've been really struggling to cover my blemishes and dark circles recently but this concealer has made it so easy. The product dispenses really well so you don't waste any. It blends out very quickly and provides a good medium coverage. The best part is it's only £4.99. What a bargain

NYX Cosmetics Soft Matte Lip Cream - Stockholm
I have found my new obsession. This 'liquid lipstick' is the perfect creamy, matte lip product with intense colour that doesn't dry out my lips. Stockholm is a gorgeous muted coral, peachy, brown shade which is so flattering on my skin tone. I've fallen in love with the formula and I will be heading back to Boots soon to pick up some more. If you haven't tried the soft matte lip creams yet, hurry your ass up and try them.

What products we're you loving throughout July?

It's always good to have a selection of products that are your staples for when things go wrong or you need a quick fix. Sometimes your skin is feeling dry and tight while on the train, or maybe you have a giant spot appear at the worst possible time. These are my go to 'skincare emergency' items that I can always count on to keep my skin looking clear, balanced and radiant. I hope you enjoy.
Simple Kind To Skin Micellar Water
The main reason I love micellar water is because of how quick it makes removing my makeup. Sometimes I don't feel like using an oil to get it off so this is the perfect product to get the job done when I'm feeling really tired. Of course I still do a proper cleanse afterwards. It's also a great option when travelling. The Simple Micellar Water is my favourite out of the ones I've tried because it's the most gentle and most effective, plus it's the cheapest. A win all around.

La Roche Posay Serozinc
I've been using Serozinc for years now and I'm still not bored of it. No matter what your skin type, it's something you need to have in your home. It tends to be the only toner I travel with because it helps heal any irritation, dryness or breakouts. Any time my skin is feeling 'not right', I whip it out of the cupboard.

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm
Cleansing is such a personal step and everyone has their number one product that does exactly what they want. For me, that hero is the EH balm. It deep cleans the skin whilst keeping it properly nourished and soft. Whenever my skin feels rough and a bit greasy I do a good double cleanse with EH and my skin feels brand new afterwards.

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum
It can be really hard to find serums that feel like they're hydrating more than just the surface of the skin. As soon as I apply this to my face, it almost makes the skin feel like it has water on it, it's so hydrating and soothing. There is a noticeable difference in the feel of my skin when I use this. I can't be without it and it's going to be a saviour when Winter comes!

Hylamide Glow Radiance Booster
We all have those days where we wake up and look grey and tired and sometimes the only cure for that, is to add some colour to the face. This booster adds such a lovely glow without giving adding a tan. I apply it after toner and before moisturiser. After 15-20 minutes, I look healthy and fresh again. It really helps even out the skin tone like when you've had a good 8 hours of sleep.

Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask
I tend to get rough, bumpy patches of skin quite often and cleansing doesn't always get rid of it. This mask uses enzymes and acids to exfoliate, revealing bright, clear skin. I don't use it all the time because it is quite a strong mask but every now and then when my face feels like sandpaper, I pull this bad boy out. It smells like pumpkin pie too. Bonus.

Origins Drink Up Intensive Mask
When my skin is craving a thick layer of moisture I always turn to this overnight mask. You can skip serums and moisturisers and just apply this to get glowing supple skin. This is also travel friendly because of it's small and compact size. My skin always looks great the next morning.

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion
This is the item that inspired me to do this post. It's basically a mix of clay and salicylic acid which we all know are great ingredients for getting rid of blemishes. I've been getting quite a few red bumps around my mouth and right in the centre of my forehead which wouldn't go away. I applied this to any mark or blemish I had and left it on overnight. The next morning I cleansed my face and was so surprised at how well it diminished the bumps. I'd been struggling with the forehead ones for so long and they pretty much vanished. I do think it's better for active spots and bumps rather than marks, but it's still a miracle worker for me.

Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil
Everyone and their mom loves this oil and there's a perfectly good reason for that. This will cure dry, flaky lips after one use. It's a cross between a balm and oil which makes it 10x more moisturising than a standard lip balm. I've been suffering with dry, sore lips for weeks but this has dramatically improved them. It feels so luxurious when you apply it and coats the lips in a gorgeous silky oil. Hubby is a massive fan too, so ladies if you're man is picking his dry lips, give him this!

Skincare SOS - My Go-To Products
