I want to share with you my essentials for healthy, glowing skin. These tips are suitable for everyone, however you do not have to follow all of these steps like me. Do whatever suits your skin, these are just helpful things I swear by for my skin. In no particular order.

1. Drink Water
It's an obvious one, but it really work wonders for the skin and body. I personally couldn't drink plain water for years, it had to be flavoured, but flavoured water contains quite a bit of sugar. Now I'm hooked on plain water! and I've realised the more I drink it, the more I need it, which shows me how dehydrated you can be without knowing it. It helps hydrate your skin and also flushes away toxins.

2. Cleansing
The most important step in skincare to me is cleansing. Properly cleansing AM and PM is the most effective step. There's no point cleansing with a micellar water and then applying a £100 serum. Just no. Personally I think micellar waters and wipes are not cleansers, they are meant for removing eye makeup, or fixing makeup mistakes. If you're wearing makeup, you must double cleanse, no buts. Cleanse once with a balm or oil (The Body Shop Camomile Butter/Oil) to remove the makeup, then cleanse again with a good balm/oil/milk.

3. Skincare
I'm obviously obsessed with skincare, but that's just my thing. I take great pride in looking after my skin and also it just relaxes me when I pamper myself. If you don't want a fussy 8 step routine that's fine, but I personally feel everyone will benefit from a simple routine of
Cleansing, Acid Toning and Moisturising.

I am loving The Body Shop recently and I'm very excited to bring you a review of the Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter. I have been trying it out for 3 weeks, and now have a good understanding of this product.

I love the packaging, it's a pretty, simple design. You may think because it comes in a tin, that it's heavy, but in fact it's very light weight.
Price - £12 for 90ml
Texture - Soft balm to oil
Finish - Clean, soft skin

What they say
This cleanser is an indulgent make-up remover for the whole face. It gently and efficiently melts away make-up and impurities, leaving skin feeling clean, refreshed and pampered.

What is it
It is a cleansing butter/balm used as the first cleanse, to break down make-up. It leaves the skin feeling clean, soft and ready for the second cleanse. Suitable for all skin types.

How I use it
I use a 10p sized amount to break down my make-up, including all eye liner and mascara. Once spread around the face, I add a bit of water to emulsify everything, then I remove it with a hot flannel. It does a great job of removing my make-up every time, so I can follow with my second cleanse.

Pros
- Effectively cleanses
- Soft oily texture
- Light, fresh, non offensive scent
- Good amount of product

Cons
None

Summary
This is a gem from The Body Shop. I will definitely re-purchase this when it runs out, as it is now vital for my make-up removal. It is a great product for adding a bit of luxury to your routine, without breaking the bank. I highly recommend trying it out in store, I can't wait to try the Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil. Thank you for reading.

My morning routine is working wonders and is giving me even clearer, hydrated, glowing amazing skin. I want to show you what I'm currently using, as I think these products will suit all skin types.

Cleanse
In the morning I like to add an oomph to my face, so I use an exfoliating wash to refresh my skin. It also brightens and smooths. I apply it to my dry face, spread it around, add water to loosen it and then remove with a hot flannel.

Acid Tone
Acid toning exfoliates and resurfaces the skin. I use the Garnier Pure Active Pore Purifying Toner. This is gentler than using an exfoliating scrub and can be done everyday. Just pour some onto a cotton pad and sweep over the face and neck. I have used this particular one for years and is a great inexpensive acid toner. I still use a scrub but only once or twice a week.

Hydrating Tone
This is the first stage of adding moisture. My favourite spray toners are the Lush ones. Just look for a toner that will hydrate. You can spray directly onto your face but I like to apply it with a cotton pad most of the time. It hydrates and leaves the skin feeling beautifully soft.

Eye Cream/ Gel
My current eye gel is an inexpensive one from the Boots Botanics range. It's a roller ball application, and I pat the gel all around my eye area. For the price it works really well at soothing the eyes and hydrating the skin

Serum
This serum really has had an effect on my skin. Since I started using it, it has definitely brightened my skin and made my skin glow. It smells like oranges in a good way and feels very moisturising on the skin. My favourite serum I have used yet!

Moisturiser
I switch between these two moisturisers. The first one follows the serum perfectly, I tend to use this one if I'm going out because it has UVA/UVB protection. Again it hydrates and gives the skin a beautiful glow and smells like oranges.
The second one is a great soothing moisturiser for when the skin is acting up, red or irritated. It still leaves the skin feeling soft and is great for sensitive skin. Has a slight cucumber scent but nothing offensive.

Lip Care
I use the same lip balm in the morning as in the evening, it hydrates the lips, add SPF protection and has a soft sweet minty scent which I love.
I recommend all of these products and think anyone can use them, thank you for reading.

I've used this mask for about one and a half years, and it is becoming more popular in the beauty world. Most people know Lush Cosmetics for their bath bombs, body products and fresh face masks. This however is a hidden gem for me and I wanted to give a detailed review explaining why.

It comes in a nice sturdy plastic tub. Basic but effective. I also love the name and the caption on the front. The larger size is not very travel friendly.
Price - £5.50 for 125g    £9.75 for 315g
Texture - Gritty but soft thick mask
Finish - Clear, refreshed, soft skin

What they say
A multi-purpose mask with a mixture of gentle yet effective ingredients to clean, calm and clear the skin - now in a self preserving formula.

Key ingredients
Honey - Anti bacterial
Kaolin - Nourishes
Peppermint oil - Stimulates the blood cells

What is it
Mask of Magnaminity is a thick, gritty mask that can be used on the face or body. Applied to the skin it soothes, treats and nourishes. Suitable for all skin types.

How I use it
I apply a generous layer all over my face avoiding the eye area. I like to leave it on for 10-15 minutes until it hardens slightly. It instantly feels cooling and almost tingly. The evening primrose seeds and aduki beans help exfoliate when the mask is washed off. I personally use this mask once or twice a week or whenever my skin is feeling sluggish. After using the mask my skin feels clear and smooth and brought back to life.

Results
This mask never fails to deliver glowing, clear, refreshed skin. I always have a pot because it is a must have in my routine. After almost two years it still works wonders for my skin.

Pros
- Soothes, nourishes and exfoliates
- Thick non slip texture
- Minty fresh scent
- Good amount of product

Cons
- Big size not travel friendly

Summary
I love this product. It gives great results and definitely is worth the hype! Everyone from teens to mature people will benefit from this mask. It is suitable for all skin types, but test it out in store first. The next things from Lush I want to try are the Ultrabland cleanser and Ocean Salt scrub. Thank you so much for reading.

Skin care is more important to me than my make-up. Without good skin you won't have good make-up. My current routine is working amazingly and I want to share it with you.

1st Cleanse
On a day I'm wearing make-up, I will do two cleanses. The first either with the Simple Cleansing Wipes or Garnier Miceller Water. Neither of these products are amazing skin care items, but they do the job of removing the majority of my make-up. Better alternatives are cleansing oils or balms.

2nd Cleanse
The second cleanse will remove any remains of make-up and actually cleanse the skin. The one I'm currently using is the Super Facialist Salicylic Acid Anti Blemish Purifying Cleansing Wash. Using a 10p size amount, the gel lathers but does not foam, then I just wash it off with warm water and pat my skin dry. It leaves the skin feeling clean and refreshed but not stripped.

My current eye gel is an inexpensive one from the Boots Botanics range. It's a roller ball application, and I pat the gel all around my eye area. For the price it works really well at soothing the eyes and hydrating the skin.

Serum
Serums are a great way to give extra to your skin. This one by Yes To Grapefruit is aimed at uneven skin, dark spots and pigmentation. I can't say I have noticed a huge difference in my pigmentation but it is a nice serum. It feels soft on the skin and my moisturiser sits nicely on top of it.

Moisturiser
I love this moisturiser! It feels really soft and moisturises the skin beautifully. It absorbs nicely and leaves you looking hydrated and glowy. The skin feels amazing the morning after. I will definitely repurchase it.

Lip Care
Not much to say but this a really moisturising lip balm with SPF 15. Soothes the lips and makes them feel pretty and soft.
I will do an update when my night time routine changes. I recommend all of these products and think most people will like them. Thank you for reading.

I've only used body products from The Body Shop till now. Recently I went to The Body Shop in Bromley, hoping to find a new night time serum or moisturiser. Looking at the skin care section I saw the new Drops Of Youth range, which caught my eye. There are 4 items in this range, but the one I was drawn to was the Bouncy Sleeping Mask. Claiming to do everything I was looking for, I bought it and just hoped for the best. I've had this product for nearly a month and have used it almost every night. Getting onto the review.

I think the white and green packaging adds to the 'young' vibe of this range. The container itself is nice and bulky which looks and feels quite luxurious. Especially on your stand or shelf. On the other hand, it isn't very convenient when travelling.
Price - £22
Texture - Soft jelly
Finish - Hydrated skin
Amount- 90ml

What they say
Discover our new Drops Of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask, enriched with Edelweiss stem cells. Designed to be left on overnight, it leaves skin looking bouncier and feeling replenished.
  • Youth - enhancing formula for bouncier - looking skin
  • Unique, bouncy, memory shape texture
  • With Edelweiss stem cells
The container states it is a smoothing, refreshing and replenishing night cream gel, (which I think is the perfect description).

What is it
The Bouncy Sleeping Mask is a night cream gel that you apply all over the face and onto the neck. You let it absorb and leave it on overnight. When you wake up you will have a soft, even, youthful complexion.

How I use it
Not using more than say a 20p coin, I depot the soft jelly with the spatula, put it on the back of my hand and use it from there. Once applied to the skin it gives a soothing yet refreshing feeling to the skin. I apply the cream all over my face and down onto my neck using small upwards motions.
Depending on how my skin is that night, I will apply it on top of my serum or moisturiser. If my skin is feeling and looking great, I will apply my serum then the Bouncy Sleeping Mask. On the nights my skin feels more dehydrated, I will apply my serum, moisturiser then the Bouncy Sleeping Mask. I apply it an hour or two before bed to let it absorb and take away the tacky feeling.

Results
The first morning after I used this, I was shocked when I looked in the mirror! My skin tone looked so even, by which I mean, all of the redness and pigmentation I have, had faded to almost nothing. My skin was bright, glowing and felt so hydrated, and the best part is, this happens every time I use it! Even my boyfriend noticed. Those looking for a new moisture boosting product, I highly recommend it!

Pros
- Even, glowing, hydrated complexion
- Soft silky texture
- Good amount of product

Cons
- Not travel friendly
- Some ingredients ( Fragrances)

Summary
I really enjoy this product. It met my expectations and has delivered great results. I would definitely recommend this product but still just to be sure, try a sample first, which you can get in-store. The Drops Of Youth range looks very promising and I can't wait to try the other items. Thank you so much for reading.

After loving the Gerard Cosmetics lip glosses, I decided to try a couple of the lip sticks. I've wanted to order them for a long time but never got round to it. Recently I met up with my friend and she informed me there is a shop that sells Gerard Cosmetics very close to us. As soon as I heard that, we both rushed to find the shop.
The shop is called Cocktail Cosmetics and it is located at The Custard Factory in Birmingham. They also have a website. www.cocktailcosmetics.co.uk Check the webiste for information on how to get there. It is a beautiful little shop and they sell a range of brands including, Sigma Beauty, Lime Crime, NYX Cosmetics and more. I'll now get onto the review of the lipsticks.

I love the gold packaging, I think it stands out against other lipsticks because it is different and has a more luxurious feel to it.
Individual price - £12.50
Texture- Creamy
Finish- Matte

The first lipstick I chose is called Buttercup. This is from the Jaclyn Hill Collection and I absolutely love it! It's a beautiful baby pink and will suit so many skin tones. On a fairer skin it will look more intense and on a darker skin more nude. It applies creamy and smooth and leaves a soft matt finish but is not drying. You can get a wash of colour or a more intense colour depending on how you apply it.

Swatched on fair skin in natural light.
(excuse my dry lips and really long labret bar)

The second lipstick I picked up is called 1995 and is probably more popular than Buttercup. This is also from the Jaclyn Hill Collection and again I love it! Inspired by 90's grunge and Kylie Jenner, this lipstick combines rose, mauve and brown to create a gorgeous shade that will suit pretty much everybody.

Swatch on fair skin in natural light.
(excuse the lips and bar again)

Swatched together with flash.

When wearing these lipsticks I like to use MAC Sublime Culture Cremestick Liner. It will give more definition to buttercup but still have a soft finish. With 1995 it will intensify the colour and can give a sharp lip line for a dramatic look.

If you want to add a bit of sheen, you can pair these lipsticks with Gerard Cosmetics Buttercream lip gloss, also created by Jaclyn Hill. It pairs perfectly with Buttercream and has a gorgeous smooth creamy texture with a pretty shine.

I highly recommend these lipsticks and I can't wait to try more of them. Amazing quality, gorgeous shades and a decent price. I hope the pictures do the colours justice. Thank you so much for reading, and bravo if you made it to the end of this long post!

Gerard Cosmetics- Lipsticks Review
